Can I hear the gameplay sound with this? or is it just for chat? If yes, can I unplug the headset to plug another 3.5mm audio jack ?

I wish I had read this question. This headset is only for chatting and no game audio will play through it. So, if you want to mute the TV out of courtesy for roommates, etc, then still be able to hear with the headphones, that's not possible. I was pretty bummed out.

Mike, this thing will drive you nuts in short order. It hurts to wear it in a short amount of time, and it drains the batteries in the controller quickly.
