I bought this to cover the worn out steering wheel on my 2008 Honda CRV. I previously had a “pleather” steering wheel cover from Advance Auto, and this is soooo much better! It’s genuine leather, and it looks and fits great if you follow the size chart. Tip #1: After sliding the cover over your steering wheel (with the seem in the center, at the bottom), line up all the holes with their counterpart on the other side before you begin stitching. It will look a lot neater if it’s lined up perfectly. I used a mirror to count the empty holes behind each spoke, and then marked my starting and stopping holes on both sides with a metallic Sharpie to make sure it stayed lined up well, with no wrinkles or stitching errors. Tip #2: If your steering wheel is thicker at the 10 & 2 positions, you may need to stretch the leather to avoid a gap there. Even though I ordered the correct size, based on the thicker circumference at my 10 & 2 positions, I had a gap between the leather when I got to the 10:00 position. No matter how tightly I pulled the thread, I couldn’t close the gap, so I thought it was too small. When I got to the 2:00 position, it occurred to me that maybe I could stretch the leather to fit. So I got 2 pairs of pliers and pulled both sides of the leather to stretch it a little, and then I was able to stitch it closed without a gap there. Tip #3: Rather than using “dummy” stitches in front of and behind the spokes, I tucked the leather under. As long as it’s stitched tightly on both sides of the spokes, it should stay tucked with no problem. I did tuck a small piece of double-sided tape underneath to hold it in place until I got it stitched on both sides. There are several ways you can sew the cover on. The quickest and easiest way would be the straight-stitch. I opted to cross-stitch mine, because I think it looks neater and more professional. Cross-stitching requires more time, more thread, and simultaneously using 2 needles. Therefore, I appreciated that Bellinous included 3 LONG pieces of thread, each with an attached needle, which was more than enough to get the job done. The installation took me approximately 3-1/2 hours. I’m attaching photos and a video of the finished product. I wanted to video the stitching process, but I didn’t have any way to hold the camera at those awkward angles. If Bellinous wants to send me a couple small leather samples and thread, I’d be happy to make an instructional cross-stitch video. I am very happy with the quality, fit, and final appearance of this steering wheel cover. I expect it will last a lot longer than the cheap slip-on cover I previously had, and it was actually LESS expensive! Great quality for the price!

Shipped fast and seems like high quality leather. It seem d a little tight getting it in the wheel, but ended up a perfect fit once it was laced up. I used the sizing guide and it was perfect. It took me almost four hours to do the job. My installation was on a lawn tractor that the squirrels had chewed on the steering wheel. It now looks like new and feels better than new. My kit contained three pieces and f waxed thread and three needles. I only used two of the threads. I did the baseball stitch. Contrary to reviews I read, I didn't break any needles. Overall I am thrilled with the quality, and the final installation.

Very nice product, the leather is thick, supple and strong. This cover looks and feels very good when stitched on correctly, and yes it is a bit of a pain stitching on, but well worth the effort

This lace-up leather steering wheel cover looks great and feels solid once installed, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, if your steering wheel has thick or wide spokes, this may not be the best option, there's nothing included to secure the wrap around those areas, so it can look a bit unfinished. Second, they provide three lengths of cotton thread and three needles, which seems generous—until I realized the thread is about 5 inches too short per section. I had to splice in an extension, which isn’t a huge deal but definitely an annoyance that could’ve been avoided with just slightly longer thread. That said, the install was pretty straightforward, but long..2 hours to do it carefully. I pulled each stitch nice and tight, and for now, it’s holding well. Time will tell if it loosens up with use. All in all, a solid product with room for improvement—but still worth considering

The recommended size is very accurate, so the cover was very snug to put on. It took me 2 to 3 hours to sew it on. Very nice quality leather. It feels like it will last for many years. It makes the steering wheel look great and it's easier to grip the wheel with no slipping.

This kit was a perfect fit for a 15" wheel. I am impressed with the quality of the leather. I used the enclosed needle and thread (1 bundle of thread did a complete baseball stitch, didn't use the other 2 bundles). The leather stretches well, I pulled the stitches very tight and did not suffer any tearing of the pre punched holes. My steering wheel has a finger grip profile all the way around the back of the wheel and the leather conformed nicely to the humps and valleys. The finished product looks great and feels very comfortable.
