Life Balance Pure Eggwhite Protein

I make us shakes every am and this is by far our favorite protein ingredient for the shake I also add wheat germ flax seed açaí seeds blue berries banana and res berries and a touch of honey.

Using the Cuisinart smoothie maker (which is a lot like a Nutribullet), I've been making protein shakes with a combo of this product and some others like Spiro-Tein or Whey protein. It worked well at first but after the jar had been opened a while, undissolved little pellets would ruin the drink. The mix itself is so light and powdery, you wouldn't predict this would happen. But it does.

Wonderful stuff. Blends well in smoothies, yogurt. No added sugar, does not change the taste of the food you're adding it to.

I buy mine at trader joes for 9.99. Now, people are right it doesn't dissolve well. BUT I found a way to dissolve it so it can mix easily with my other smoothie ingredients. Put the powder in a little bit of lukewarm water leave it for 15-30 min. It will have the consistency and color of actual egg whites without the smell of it. It's a bit salty, I had delicious results by mixing it with greek yogurt mango a touch of pineapple juice and a touch of maple syrup (using a nutribullet). This smoothie came out so good and delicious with absolutely no smell or taste of eggs.All in all this stuff is the good stuff. just pure eggwhite powder, no fillers at all! Get it at TJ for 9.99 be patient and dissolve it before if you mind the clumpiness.

This was my first experience with egg white protein. I bought it for smoothies, and when added with restraint, it does little to nothing to the flavor.Found it originally at Trader Joe's but have had difficulty getting it recently. I instead bought 'NOW Sports Nutrition' on Amazon because its details and price were just what I was looking for.Well it turns out they are probably the same brand. Descriptions and instructions are word for word identical on the two products and both are made in Bloomingdale, IL. I'm very happy with both this and the larger 'NOW' purchase.

I’ve been using this product for quite a while. My 12 year old son who is turning 13 in a week is very upset the fact that Trader Joe’s is no longer carry this product. My son is a very picky eater, he doesn’t like to eat breakfast in the morning. This amazing egg white powder is the only breakfast choice. With a magic bullet at home, I simply put bananas, 2 pieces of green apple, a few pieces of mangoes and pineapple and some berries normally do the tricks - and it’s deliciously healthy. Trader Joe’s has this pure pineapple juice for 3.99 - which I use to dissolve and 2 tablespoons of life balance pure egg white. Within seconds, my son has his breakfast. It’s safe, healthier than eating bacons and pancakes or bagels/bread. I use to get it at Trader Joe’s for 9.99 - now they no longer carrying this product. I’m very sad about it.
