"It was fate".
I have been a fan of Leah Holt since 3/15/16. But I've never read My Soldier. Her newsletter stated that this book was free. So I got it. It was one of the two books I didn't have. I ended up buying Chained to make it the last purchase. And let me tell you...this book was phenomenal. I absolutely loved it. It felt like I got 2 books in one. The first book was before the accident and the 2nd one was after. I am absolutely speechless. I honestly just want to savor what this book did to me. Can you love a book too much? This was definitely an emotional ride. There were no downfalls. I can't dream of finding one. The writing was top notch. The plot was fantastic. I loved the premise of the story. I loved Anvi (loved her name by the way) and Levi together. I loved their relationship. Anvi was trying with all her might to not let them be together. But Levi wouldn't hear of it. He pushed her. He made her realize how wrong she was. I loved the push/pull that they went through. Anvi played a strong h. And Levi was as sweet as he could be. He was in no way a weak H, just an emotional one. They played their parts well. They were well rounded.I know I am leaving a large part of my review out because I don't want to give anything away. The only thing I want to mention is the blue flower and the picture frame. These 2 parts were significant and they made me lose my tears. I lost that battle. I lost it hard.I will leave it at that. This was a really, awesome read. It is definitely one click worthy. I'd highly recommend.

Another great book by Leah Holt!
I received an ARC for an honest review. I loved this book just like I love anything written by Leah Holt. She is amazing. The heroine, Avril, loses her twin brother whom she was best friends with and feels distraught. On the day of his funeral she finds out he was not the person she thought when she is beaten up in an alley by her brother's associates! Our hero, Levi, overhears the beating, and rushes to help, saving Avril, but getting hurt in the process. Something heated develops between Levi and Avril. He swears to protect her. Will they make it? Can Avril be happy with a military man? You just have to read it!

4.5 Stars
I struggled with giving this book four or five stars. My biggest issue was how little Anvi seemed to care about Kevin's "secret". Yes he was a good brother (in a way) yes he was a good soldier but his secret life was pretty horrifying. Not only that but Anvi was beaten, and almost "sold" or killed because of it.However, the rest of the book was well written, the plot was solid and everything else kept me more than interested. The romance was intense, the sex scenes were decent (not Leah's best, but decent) and the characters were all very real feeling. The ending was very satisfying and all in all I feel the book deserves a rounded up 4.5.

I enjoyed the story of Avni and Levi
I enjoyed the story of Avni and Levi. There is a good amount of angst, action, and love in this book. I did have a little trouble relating to Avni, her inner dialogue and reactions to situations were a little too much at times. Levi's character, at first, was just okay but as the story progresses he develops into great book boyfriend material. Their love story takes you on a journey that will surprise you, there are twists and turns, before reaching their HEA. Overall, this is a good read and I look forward to reading more by this author.

One hot soldier
Leah has wrote yet another great book! Levi is the hot soldier that comes to Anvi's rescue. Something clicks and he just starts to feel something for her. The more he's around her the more he feels it and wants to make her admit her feelings. He vows to protect her from her twin brothers debts. There's so much involved in this book. It's well worth the read.I received this ARC for an honest review.

Emotional read.
What an emotional book. This was a book about fate, loss, trials, revelations, sacrifice, and death. Very well written with plenty of descriptive details. Enjoyed the alpha males roll in the book. And walked the journey of letting go with the leading lady. Would recommend this to all my military lovers out there and readers who love a good love story. Happy reading.

Heart Wrenching Read
Gifted an ARC for an honest review...This was a fast paced, heart wrenching read. Just when you thought things were going one way, Leah threw in a curve and sent the book in another. Avni and Levi were well developed, compelling characters who you really could relate to. I enjoy most of Leah books and this is another well thought out book. Thanks!!
