My son is a Type 1 Diabetic. Finding OTC medications can be a huge challenge. I have been a Hyland's fan since he began teething. Teething tabs, allergy tabs, tummy relief, canker sore relief (caused by a prescription medication)... I could go on and on. And all of their products WORK! Hyland's products, including the liquid medications, don't have a bunch of additives. No extra dyes/colors, no extra sugars, and no sugar alcohols. This makes them amazing for a diabetic kid. This cough and cold medicine doesn't raise his blood glucose levels. Diabetics typically "run high" while ill; meaning it can be incredibly difficult to stay in a healthy blood sugar range. The fact that Hyland's doesn't seem to raise his numbers at all, is fantastic. My son uses a continuous glucose monitor, so I am easily able to moniter his glucose numbers after a dosage. My son's Endocrinologist approves. And I have shared with several diabetic parent groups, online and in person, about how great this works. Like all Hyland's products, the cough and cold medicine works great, and really provides relief from cold symptoms. And really relieves coughs. My son has zero complaints about it. He says it tastes great, and will take it without fuss or complaint. When the sick kid will take his medicine, without a fuss, you know it doesn't taste bad. Works, tastes good, and is diabetic friendly. Can't ask for a better product.

So I ordered this product based on the natural ingredients. This arrived packed well and I’m happy about that. However, I don’t think it works any better than giving 2 teaspoons of honey before bedtime. Hylands, I believe, is a good brand and I’ve used their products since my kid was an infant. I’m just not convince this one helps prevent cough nor cold.

You know flu season is coming, you have to have this in hand! My toddler like the taste!
