OH YES!!!
Perfect for heat in an emergency or camping/hunting! Uses the small propane cans, but not much of it! Heats well. No wobbling. Perfect! One heater heats our school bus/hunting camp in freezing temps.

This heater worked wonderfully.
I just came back from tent camping. I got in late for the first night and did the bare minimum, I regretted the decision not to set up the heater. I was so cold I had difficulty sleeping. The next day I set it up immediately. My tent is a 9' x 10' and on low it heated the tent beautifully, almost too warm, I had the vents open on the top and a window 1/3 open and I still had to operate a fan hanging from the center to diffuse the heat while the unit was set to low. Great heater, I highly recommend it. The heater worked for 4 hours on one 1 lb cannister of fuel, so it took 2 canisters a night to heat it throughout the night. Next time I will attach it to a 5 lb cannister so I don't have to switch it out in the middle of the night.

Worked great in an emergency
Had an occasion to test this product over the winter when my furnace went out, and I was without heat for a week. Worked well, but a little too small for a large open space. Would be ideal for a small bedroom. Still, it put out enough heat to keep me more or less comfortable in the living room while there was no heat at all in the house. Light weight and very easy to carry. Very easy to replace tanks and turn on and off. This little unit I got had no fan, might think of getting a larger one with a fan in the future for a larger space. However, this model did me just fine in a heat-off emergency.

Easy to use.
I use this with refillable small tanks. Great in my shop and off grid RVing. A sweet little rig it is.

Purchase when it's warm out
People often end up buying these when the winter storms come along, which is what I did. And thankfully, it did get here just in time to save us from having a vacate to a hotel. But WOW it cost quite a bit at that time, so if you live out in an area that's prone to losing power in the winter climate, just own one of these or something like it. Why not grab it in the summer time when they're discounted? We have it set up where we can re-fill portable tanks, or rig up the heater to work with a large tank. We only have a 1-story ranch house at about 1200 sq/ft to heat in emergencies. However, it does get the job done when placed in the center of the floor space. We were out of power for nearly 5 days. The portable buddy did not create a warm and toasty atmosphere or anything like that... but it did keep the house livable. In our case, we set it up between the kitchen and living room, and just lived inside the living room for a couple days... not expecting this little thing to fill an entire house with radiant heat from one source. We do have brand new Andersen windows that hold heat well, so that was a factor in maintaining the warmth. However, I was still impressed at how this heater performed at even its low setting. We switched it back and forth between low and high to conserve propane, and sometimes were even able to turn it off for a while when the sun was beaming in. Before it arrived we were at an indoor temp of about 50 degrees, and threatening to go lower. This heater combined with our new windows was able to hold us above 60 in the living room and kitchen areas. We just closed the bedroom doors until the power was restored. Sure we still needed sweaters and fluffy socks, but like I said... it was bad, and we were lucky we didn't have to leave. An affordable heater and 20lb tank of propane (maybe 2) is a lot cheaper than several days in a hotel. I suspect this would also do well in an insulated garage setting, although it likely would only create a bearable environment as opposed to a toasty one. Either way... when you're pressed into a slight emergency, you wanna already have one of these, especially if you've already got the propane tanks laying around for your grill or whatnot. Get it while it's cheap, spend an hour or so familiarizing yourself with the heater and your propane setup, and then store it until you need it.

Glad I bought this! gonna get a back up!
Definitely worth the money! Kept me toasty as hell in my blind. One 1 lb propane tank on low lasts about 5 hours. Very easy to use! VERY light weight. So many other uses! You can grill hot dogs on this thing!!!!

Really puts out great amount of heat in small amount of time--it sure seems safe for indoor use
Given the stellar reviews, it really seemed that this would serve my needs--to supplement a decent electric heater on those below zero days in a small room in an unheated garage. And I think it will do that great, it really cranks with the heat, and starts right up. But I'm worried about the CO factor some. There are no windows in the small room, and running the unit immediately kicks the air cleaner into high gear (the air cleaner detects changes in air quality and reacts accordingly). But that probably is because there always is the faint smell of propane when starting a heater like this--and that's normal, you'll smell a little on all propane devices, like gas grills, etc. My air cleaner will not detect CO. Reviews on the subject are split, you DO need venting because it's gas powered, you DO NOT need venting because unit has an oxygen depleting sensor that will shut unit off if it is triggered, thereby eliminating possibility of CO being produced. Even the instructions hedges their bets on it--for emergency indoor use that touts benefits of aforementioned sensor, while also stating that proper ventilation is necessary in use of unit. It seems like it should be one or the other. And if it's just a case that so long as unit is functioning properly there is no need to worry about CO, then I wish Mr Heater said so in that simple of language in the instructions. I'll pick up a CO detector and go with what it indicates. UPDATE: Ran unit on high with Kidde CO detector 4 feet above and away from it for an entire life of 1 lb propane cylinder, 2 hours with door closed. Garage room is about 7' by 8' by 15'. Alarm did not go off, not once. I'm NOT recommending running it without ventilation, but feel much safer with it now that it tests out to my satisfaction. Changed rating from 4 to 5 stars, I highly recommend this unit.

Save money and beat the heat with this buddy!
Easy to use, works great for taking the humidity out of the tent as well as providing perfect heat in an enclosed space. I used it mainly evenings and and in the mornings. If left on even for a short time this really can heat a place up in a hurry so with all the mesh in the tents these days which works well to provide the ventilation required the heat obviously goes through the mesh and heats up the outer part of the tent as well so you won't have to pack up the tent damp. It also works fantastic when left on all night on those below zero nights. At first I worried about oxygen deprivation or carbon monoxide build up, that was unnecessary the unit performed flawlessly and now I view it as I would a dishwasher, a necessary luxury to be sure. I built a carry case out of 3/4 inch plywood to set the unit on in the tent giving it height and and enough weight to provide a solid base and alleviate the chance of a knock down. It also raises the unit above the height of most mattresses etc and when the unit is in use extra propane cylinders can be kept inside. The carry case is open on the top and approximately 18" square. This works extremely well and for those really concerned about the chance of a spill weights could be stacked into the case. I've spent thousands of dollars on sleeping bags over the years some rating to -40 C and still felt chilled winter camping, this could have been avoided had I known...

Excelente calidad.
Lo he usado en un par de ocasiones y funciona hasta ahora perfectamente.

Práctico
El dispositivo es bastante bueno y seguro, sin embargo creo que la duración de un tanque de propano tipo camping (verde) es una tanto corta en HI posición.

Great little heater
Took this camping earlier this year. Put it under the picnic table to keep our legs warm as the temperature dropped to around 2oC. Worked very well for a couple of hours. A couple of downsides. 1) it drinks propane. Burned through 1 small can in less than 3 hours. Granted the heater was on high the entire time. 2) when the gas canister gets iced up the heater does tend to cut out now and then. Once you give it a break for about 10/15 mins it does fire up again. Overall I do like this heater. It heats up your tent in seconds and is very easy and safe to use for short bursts. I would not recommend sleeping with it switched on.
