Carotenoid that Provides Major Protection Life Blend’s Vision Support is Formulated around the main ingredient, Lutein, known as The Eye Vitamin. Lutein has been shown to support visual function and to protect the health of eye tissues as we age.The typical western diet doesn't includeLutein is a carotenoid found in tomatoes, mangos, sweet potatoes, leafy greens, and carrots. The typical western diet doesn't include nearly enough of these fruits and vegetables - so it's likely you have a deficiency in lutein.Supports age-related eye challengesStudies have shown that lutein promotes eye and vision help and combat age-related eye challenges. Lutein helps the pigment of your retina which absorbs harmful light - acting as a sort of filter. You were born with a certain amount of lutein in your eyes, but your body does not reproduce it. You must get lutein from your diet and supplementation.Provide protection against oxidative and free radical damageOne of the primary functions of lutein is to provide protection against oxidative and free radical damage. These yellow-colored carotenoids are found in high concentrations within the macula lutea (the yellow spot in the center of the retina) and in smaller amounts throughout the retina and the eye lens. They are also present in the skin, breast and cervical tissues. These stores, however, appear to diminish with age if not regularly replenished through dietary means.Protected from light-induced damageScientists believe that lutein contribute to the density of macular pigment--the component of the eye which typically absorbs and filters out 40 to 60 percent of damaging near-ultraviolet blue light, which strikes the retina. Lutein also helps limit blue light damage to the inner retina by protecting against lipid peroxidation and by neutralizing free radicals.

First, I will state that I did receive this product for a reduced cost for a fair and honest review. The product arrived on time, as promised. The product came in a bubble mailer, but the bottle was sealed twice - has an outer and inner seal. I love that so I know that my product has not been tampered with.It does come in a bottle of 60 - a 30 day supply. My husband takes 2 caps/d. Quality Vision Protection Eye Vitamins
I received the LifeBlend Vision Support Eye Vitamins when expected it to arrive. The recommended serving size is 2 capsules per day. This bottle contains 60 capsules, so it has a 30-day supply. The product I purchased July 2016 expires April 2018. The active ingredients are Vitamin A, Zinc, Lutein, Bilberry extract, Grape Seed extract, Quercetin Dihydrate, L-Taurine, and N-Acety L-Cysteine. Inactive ingredients are gelatin (bovine), vegetable magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide. Made in USA. Bottle has a plastic seal over the cap and an inner safety seal. It also says that it is "processed in a plant that also processes milk, sly, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish".I have taken eye vitamins for years as recommended by my ophthalmologist, because I have a strong family history of eye diseases. (All of my extended family take eye vitamins.) I have tried several brands, but many of those have gotten either difficult to find or extremely expensive. The LifeBlend Vision Support seems to have the ingredients I expect in a quality eye supplement. The effects of supplements are often subtle and take some time to identify. It is hard to evaluate them when you first receive them. Eye vitamins, especially, are more about protecting your vision than about some dramatic, immediate result.Disclosure: I received this product at a reduced cost (or sometimes for free) in return for my reviewing the product. I do not promise a favorable review or a five star review. I am an avid Amazon shopper. I depend on the reviews others put on Amazon to decide if I am going to buy a product. I am always careful to be as honest as possible. If I do not like the product, I will not say I did.If you think my review was helpful to you, please check the "yes" vote below.

Decent dosage, decent price.
I have read in numerous reviews where reviewers say they wish they others had put the discount/free disclosure prior to the review, because they think that by paying less for the product the reviewer is being "bought." Well, I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, and for those of you who think I have "been bought" by Amazon or the sellers to write something glowingly positive, let me tell you: I personally would never endorse a product if I did not truly believe in the quality. So if you think that these discounted rate purchase reviews are contrived, those from some other reviewers may be, but anything I say is the honest truth. That being said, here's what I really think of the product:Since hitting 45, I have steadily noticed my vision worsening, and it's a very scary thing to see the rapid progression. I have not adapted well to having to wear glasses, and am hoping that if I take Lutein I can stop the progression and/or improve my vision. The dosage of Lutein in this supplement is decent... it also has vitamin A, bilberry, quercetin and other supplements proven to be beneficial. I have been taking it for a month, and while my vision has not improved, neither has it worsened, and I do notice that my eyes don't hurt (or go blurry) after working on the computer. Please like my review if it has helped you decide in any way. Thanks!!!
