Yum - and good value
I had a carton of Itsu ramen broth which was a year out of date before I tried it. I liked it very much but it's a bit expensive so I went looking for an alternative and found this. I'm no connoisseur: it's savoury, salty and a bit sweet with no unfamiliar flavours to be found (I'm thinking seaweed here - not in the ingredients, to be fair). I'm using about 10ml in around 250ml of water so this bottle will last for a long time (label says to refrigerate it once opened, but, from memory, it doesn't state that it has to be used within a certain period). Will buy this again.

I use this for everything! It has a lovely soya sauce based flavour with strong fish stock aroma. Here are some usages that I would recommend - soup for udon and soba - for flavoured rice with ingredients such as mushrooms and chicken - Japanese style pasta - seasoning for meat It's concentrated so it never runs out as well! I always have one in my fridge.

Amazing. I'm so happy with how GOOD this tastes. I followed the ratio. I also added a bit of buldak sauce as I love spice. I made a lovely beansprout, mushroom and egg soup. I just Crack an egg in for 4 mins and then serve. Very tasty.

Great product
Love the taste of this soup base mix I use 150 ml soup base and 850 ml of water and then what ever ingredients I put in . I will always buy this in the future.

I'm so glad I listened to the reviews! Usually I completely make my Ramen Bases from scratch, but I wanted to make sure it had plenty of flavour this time around & boy did it! I added grated carrot, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, MSG & spring onions to a pan, let them simmer/cook abit then I added some of this soup base, which helped add depth of flavour & enhanced the flavour of the ramen overall, i didn't measure how much I used, i just measured with my heart! The Ramen was very well received!

Mentsuyu at this price, what a bargain.
As a Japanese, I always have uses for men-tsuyu but it can be quite expensive to purchase at your local Chinese supermarket. So I was very happy to have found it at this price. Bought two. They taste great!

Decent Ramen Base
Good value for money- this will last you a long time. I dilute it 1 part to 5 parts water and add some fish sauce and chilli oil to give it more depth
