Question 1

is this broiler safe?

Accepted Answer

From my experience, I would say no. I used my dish only twice - once at 350 degrees to bake a blueberry cobbler and once to bake cod filets at 375. When I opened the oven door to take the fish out, I saw with amazement that the dish had cleanly split in two right down the middle! I did get my money back, but I was very surprised that a CorningWare product would do this. For a broiler-safe dish, consider the HIC Rectangular Baking Dish (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0020KQ2Z0/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it. I use mine ALL THE TIME, and it is not only safe to use under the broiler but it also looks great as a serving piece!

Question 2

Is there a glass lid for this roasting pan?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no lip on this dish to rest a lid. It has a curved opening both vertically and horizontally by the handles.

Question 3

what is the country of origin?

Accepted Answer

I found this on Corelle Brands' FAQ section on their website under "Corporate":
Headquartered in Rosemont, IL, Corelle Brands and its affiliates manufacture and market glass, glass ceramic and metal cookware, bakeware, tabletop products and cutlery sold under well-known brands including CorningWare, Pyrex, Corelle, Chicago Cutlery, Snapware and OLFA. The Company employs about 3,000 people, and has major manufacturing and distribution operations in the United States, Canada, and Asia-Pacific regions.

Question 4

What is the sleeve that's mentioned?

Accepted Answer

Don't know about a sleeve - I do know that this dish broke in half in the oven the second time I used it.
