No the only part that is leather is the embelishments, the rest is pu and not very good fake..:( Got one for Christmas disapointment!

I personally do not use the little holster that came with the purse. I just slip my gun in and it works great. I too carry a 23 .40 cal. I love my purse. Cute and functional.
