Incredible, simply incredible
Fantastic coffee at a great "not" imported price. Bought one back from a Rio trip several years ago and got hooked. You have a lot of coffee chains and they all manage to brew beyond bitter and awefulness! You try this in boiling water, expresso machine, Nespresso type pod it will always be extremely flavorful, aromatic and delicious. Bravo Brasil and thank you Amazon for making this happen.

One of my favorite coffees ever
Brazil has hands down the most flavorful and bold coffee beans in the world, speacially for those who appreciate legitimate COFFEE (not that nasty, watery, tasteless stuff filled with cream and sugar that everybody sems to love).Pilão is the industry standard for every-day coffee in Brazil. It comes in a variety of “intensity levels”, indicated in the side of the package. I like the strongest one (it’s reaaaaally strong, so I strongly advise you to start with one of the weaker ones if you’re not used to drinking real coffee). This coffee will be good outta the conventional coffee maker but it’s a whole different experience if you brew this right. I like to either use my espresso maker or brew it “the brazilian way”. That means putting coffee onto a filter and then manually (and slowly) pouring water around the edges, thus keeping all coffee grounds suspended in water. You’ll notice some foam will form as you brew it - that’s all the oils in the coffee beans that carry most of the flavor of the coffee. This is why you gotta do it right. The method above works kinda like a french press, with the extra benefit of keeping the water temperature consistent throughout during the brewing process (my cheap french press, at least, cools down too fast; I don’t like it). This is also great for espressos, specially if you like them strong.

Best coffee you can have, even for espresso machines
In my opinion, this is the better coffee you can have in US. I have tried domestic, Star****s roasts, but no one gets close to Pilao. This is the most appreciated brand in Brazil. It is strong, but not bitter. When I say strong, I mean, you will have to use 1/2 of what you are used to, in order to get the same taste when using other good roast. If you compare to Fo**er (hate it), you can use 1/4. And the price is really good for the quality. I can use it directly in my (basic 15 bar) espresso machine and the coffee goes just perfect. The particle size is just perfect for espresso. I can get the thick foam on top and everything. If you brew it, the superiority will be even greater comparing to the other coffees you had. If you do like coffee, you can't go wrong with Pilao.

Wonderful coffee for a great price!
I brought a couple of different brands of Brazilian coffee home from a vacation. I love the Extraforte coffee. It has a full, rich flavor and is less acidic. I was so happy to find it on Amazon at a reasonable price! In Brazil a 500mg bag was around $3.00. Starbucks is around $15. The 500mg bag lasts as long as a1 pound bag of Starbucks beans. Try it!

My favorite ready ground coffee
Was introduced to this coffee by some Brazilian friends. The flavor is buttery, toasty, not burnt. Also, seems like its less acidic than many others commonly sold in US supermarkets. A little goes a long way, even a small amount makes a deep brew. Only complaint is that the price fluctuates all over the place here on Amazon. I've seen a pack of 4 go from somewhere around $17 to $38. Also, I'd be interested to know the practices of the company that makes this coffee. Is it fair trade? Is it organic? How do they impact the lives of their farmers and the land used to grow the coffee? ...Some things that are becoming more important to me over the past years as I learn about such things.

Perfect for expresso makers!
The coffee price is great, and the taste is very good with my expresso machine. The coffee is finely grounded for great expresso.

Excellent quality, great price.
I liked everything about this product. When considering price, these are 500g packs, almost twice the quantity of regular coffee packs sold in supermarkets. This makes the price also very attractive, besides the excellent quality of the coffee.

Delicious coffee
Bought this coffee for my husband. He bought it while in Brazil and loves it. Since he hasn’t been traveling to Brazil during the pandemic we were happy to be able to order it on Amazon. It’s strong but very smooth to taste. For coffee affectionados give this coffee a try.
