Hartz UltraGuard Rid Flea & Tick Oatmeal Dog Shampoo, 18 oz Bottle

I’ve been using this brand’s flea and tick shampoos for about six years now. Depending on the flea and tick season, I alternate between this one and the Pro triple active shampoo. I also apply the Hartz ultraguard dual action topical treatment once every 30 days. With this routine, my dog has never had a flea or tick attached to him. My dog has never had any issues with skin irritation either. The scent isn’t strong or artificial—it’s soft, subtle, and comforting. After bathing my dog with this, I can’t resist burying my nose in his fur and sniffing him. If I had to point out one small downside, it would be that it doesn’t lather very well, so I usually have to apply it multiple times. The price is very affordable, and I’ve always been satisfied with this product. I’ll definitely keep buying it.

This is really good shampoo. It protects my dog from fleas and makes him smell really good. Plus my boxer likes to smell of it. And it does not irritate his skin. I used a different shampoo and he would scratch all day. Plus his coat shines really nice. I love the shampoo.

For severe cases of infestation, the washing process may need to be repeated within one week, but that is the same with any brand. Trusted by breeders! Safe for your pets! My expectations have been met. I have a stray dog that I rescued. Came with a ton of fleas. I admit it killed most but still has plenty. The dog does stay outdoors all the time . Hair is softer and dog seems happier. Ill continue to use. Great value for the money.

It smells good not thick,can spread it easily,good product,rinse well

Kills fleas on contact. My yard is constantly covered in fleas and no amount of pest control has gotten rid of them. This shampoo mixed with another one for irritated skin killed all the fleas on contact in a bucket filled bath. We lathered him up and let our puppy sit the shampoo mix (with water) in the tub for about 5 minutes. Killed all fleas and left his coat extremely smooth! His skin quit irritating him immediately! Very good price and very effective.

Very watery Used a lot more because of the thickness.

I love this flea and tick shampoo for my dogs. I wash them frequently - especially during flea flare ups out in the yard. Works great! Lathers well and the fleas drop off. lol. Love it. And the oatmeal is soothing. Makes frequent washing a good thing.
