Classic Switch Cover for Philips Hue Dimmer V2, Compatible with Hue Switch Cover, Remote Light Switch Plate Adapter, 1-Gang (1-Pack)

This fits perfectly over my standard UK light switch, looks very neat on the wall and literally took 5 minutes to install. You just need to make sure that you use enough washers to cover the gap between the light switch and this cover, if you don't use enough washers then when you screw it in the cover will start to bend. If you don't use enough washers, you'll find it incredibly difficult to remove if you need to. I had to use 2 of the plastic washers on each side and its perfect, snug and removes easily. I originally ordered the "Standard" version of this, however it wouldn't quite fit my switch so returned and ordered this one. The final product does look good and works exactly as intended. I'd say the only downside is that this version is gloss white whereas the actual hue remote is matte white so it doesn't quite match. Would still recommend.

It was very easy to install over the existing light switch and the magnet on the holder is strong enough to hold the remote in place, though it does feel a smidge weaker than Philips original holder. Taking off a star as it is expensive for what it is (2 for £15 would be more reasonable IMO) and also the cover is very difficult to take off the switch once it's been clipped on. I haven't attempted to pry it off with a tool yet as I'm worried I might damage it.

It works perfect! I wanted the slimline one (the "Pro" model) so I replaced my original switch faceplate with a new one which was under the thickness requirement. After that, it fitted perfectly! Make sure you read the size requirements. If you don't need to change your original switch faceplate, then this is a drop-in solution. You just need to undo the screws on your faceplate, and slip this underneath. It has a split in the plastic, so you don't even need to unwire anything. One complaint: the slot for the Hue Dimmer isn't a 100% perfect fit, so the Dimmer wiggles ever so slightly when you press it. The original magnetic faceplate that Hue provide with the Dimmer is a more snug fit.

I personally use my voice or motion sensors in my house to control my hue lights, however guests sometimes forget or naturally just hit the light switch, turning the hue lights off at the power. I purchased these covers (with the remotes as a separate purchase) to stop this from happening. These are great light switch covers that magnetically hold the Hue remote to themselves. Easy to fix by unscrewing the current fitting, positioning the back of the cover behind the fitting before screwing it back in (with the screws going through two holes of the back of the cover). Then the front of the cover clips in concealing the light switch. The look decent, the magnet is strong and keeps the remote in place. You can knock the remote off but you have to brush against it quite hard. I’ve covered all of my switches in my house with these and also the double remote holder where needed. I’d definitely recommend.

Looks nice but the one I got one side of it didn’t have a magnet. Sent back no problem though. Will probably order another one once refund comes through to see if it was a one off.

Good fit for the light switch and the hue dimmer. Perfectly sturdy, good value for money and a good option for adding a physical switch to a smart home system.

The magnet that's meant to hold the dimmer switch has not been stuck in the correct place (see picture). This was the case for both items that I purchased. The recess for the dimmer switch at the front is not the correct shape / size, so it doesn't hold the dimer switch firmly. Unfortunately I didn't try and install these when they were first delivered so I've now missed out on the returns window. I don't recommend this item.

Perfect and easy to install. Please install this with care as the plastic can be flimsy, did read some reviews regarding this but with care the plastic easly allows the cables to pass through so no work needed on electrics. Only gave a 4* for one reason. The magnet is not that strong and yes I am clumsy, I have knocked the remotes off the wall a few times but I did get some magnetic strips attached to these and now their strong in holding the remotes.... the force is now strong in these

Solution simple à mettre en place par dessus ce qui est installer dans 100% des nouveau logement Comme mon apparement à des prises collé au interrupteur j’ai du adapté un peu le système en coupant et ponçant le bas, c’est pas trop mal L’aimant des vraiment pas assez puissant par contre ..

The look and touch are very nice, the plastic is expensive and of high quality. The finishing is very good, as well as the mounting supplies. The colour tone fits and blends with the switch itself. Only the magnet is a bit weak resulting in the switch falling down on the floor when it touched from the side - when entering the room and switching the lights on at the door. That is the only reason why I withhold 1 star. Beside of that it's an extremely worthy product better than many others I have tried.
