Yes, this really does extent life of produce. But what I want to do here is help reviewers who are frustrated because they can't get the apple or tomato apart! There's a simple trick to it. Place thumb & index finger ( the one by thumb) ON the seam where top meets bottom & squeeze. The top pops right off. Then to put together, place top on bottom & squeeze pressing down on top & up from bottom...but not on the seam this time. It snaps into place..You're welcome! 😊

When changed on a regular basis, these will keep your vegetables fresh much longer than just putting the produce in the refrigerator. Make sure you buy the starter kit so you have the "blue apples" to refill.
