I don't know what they did, but they've made these work great and last a long time! All my name branded filters kept clogging or were no good after about a month - water tasting bad, clogged filter not letting water through, yellowing inside the filter turning into mold and getting into the water that should have been filtered. Whereas, the Aquacrest is great! They work amazing and not going to lie, they last way more than 3 months with average use and refilling the container. I've only put my 2nd one in after more than 5 or 6 months and noticed the other filter began slowing down and the taste of the water started having a foul taste and smell. So for what it's worth, these filters work great! Will def buy again!

Fits perfect in my Pur filter, easy to install and seems to work just as well as the name brand filters at a lower price.

The Pur brand filters are getting outrageously priced no matter where I seem to try to shop...so I thought I'd give these ones a try to see if they're comparable at a better price point. So far, doing well as my household drinks a lot of water on a daily basis. And due to this, I'm more likely to change these out every 2 months vs 3 months like the Pur brand. I'd say they're a step down regarding longevity by a month or so... but due to the value of the product and its price point and the sheer volume of water my household goes through...I did some math and realized over the course of the year these filters will save me a decent chunk of change on just this. For reference: I have the 30 Cup Pur fridge filter and I do like that this product tells you what they are compatible with-- made it easier to take the leap on this purchase.

The filter fits perfectly, no leaks around the seal, removes the taste and smell of the chlorine as well as other things. I am on number two out of the six, I do soak them for a while (mostly between 5-20 minutes) then I rinse them from top down. After that it is good to go, I change it every two months. Make sure to clean the container every time you change the filter regardless of the filter type.

Much better than the first batch from a different manufacturer these last much longer.

At my house we don’t have good water and we use a pitcher filter at every faucet. We buy these regularly and they work well. To extend the use, rinse them off under prefiltered water under pressure and you can get extra life out of them. I’d recommend

I have been using this product for a few yrs now. Have not had any problems with them, so I don't understand the bad reviews. They work just a well as the name brand, but so much cheaper. My water tastes great. And there is no overpowering chlorine smell to the water after it is filtered. I will always use this product
