Nice price
I used it to pick a rock that weighed 3600 lbs, it worked so good. I can’t believe you can buy this so cheap

Absolutely filthy but seems to work
I will start by saying that this thing is absolutely filthy, both the housing and the chain. I get that the chain is lubricated so that makes sense but even the housing is filthy. The box it shipped in just barely survived as well. The unit feels cheap, the housing sort of wobbles around like it might fall off, I still need to check if maybe the screws just need tightened. But it does seem to work well. I am using this for a single purpose, lifting my 5th wheel hitch in and out of the bed of my truck. I'm guessing the hitch weighs around 225-250 pounds, so I am not pushing the advertised limits of this hoist by any means, but it takes absolutely no effort to lift or lower the hitch. Now I can easily install the hitch without killing my old back and also needed help from my wife and son so overall, I am quite happy with this hoist.Do yourself a favor and wear gloves anytime you touch this hoist, especially the chain. I use disposable nitrile gloves since I'm pretty sure the chain will ruin other "mechanic" type gloves.*** Update 05/25/2023 ***Figured I would update my review, so everyone knows this hoist is still working very well. I've probably used it about a dozen times now and I have had zero problems with it. Again, feels a bit cheap but it does work, for my purposes anyway.

Not bad for the money
This chain hoist runs a little rough meaning you feel a little catch in the block at times. It does lift nicely although I won't be getting anywhere near the 1 ton limit it's rated at, I needed this for the 15' length and it's perfect in that aspect. Also, under a load, if you don't have anything to hook the chain into, it will run the load back down. I just welded a hook to the support beam that the hoist is on and hook the chain into that. It's not a high end hoist, but it's also far less expensive. I would definitely buy it again if I need another hoist for a low risk application.

It's what you paid for
Came in a nasty beat up box with little packaging, entire thing was covered in oil and dirt. Outer sheet metal cover was already dented and paint job was mediocre. No deburring to speak of. It works though. It's about the quality that I expected to get for this cheap so giving it 4 stars. I recommend just going ahead and taking it apart and cleaning/deburring it when you get it.

Works as intended. Needs improvement
I bought the "20ft" version of this. The chain hoist arrived in a beat up cardboard box. The steel case was bent and I had to fix it before I could use it.The hoist works as intended. The operation is smooth enough. Occasionally the hand chain knots up on itself. The welds on the chain links aren't very smooth. The length of the chains don't exactly match the specs. The lifting chain is approximately 18ft long. The hand chain is a 30ft loop, 15ft long. The chains are terribly dirty and oily. I used degreaser detergent and it still makes your hands black. Why couldn't they zinc plate the chain.

Sturdy but started to rust within in a week
Seemed like a solid build. Easy to use/ install. Sadly it began to rust very quickly and seems to not have been coated correctly. No problems getting a refund.
