Good design but challenging!
These are well made and conform to their rating. They are rated at 6 amps and can just manage 0.75mm flexible cable. They have reversible cable clamps and female screw terminals.I have just wired two of them with 0.75mm cloth covered cable, one modern double sheathed and fatter, one vintage. They are two pole isolating switches, ideal for vintage toasters and things with accessible live parts. (which of course, should not exist!). They have earth feed through. No sign of overheating with 2A current: I do wonder if 6A might be. little ambitious. They are small and quite fiddly to wire: the secret is to get every wire exactly the right length and stripped precisely. Those two pictured took me 90 minutes in total, but I did have to use heat shrink sleeving to avoid the fabric covers from unravelling. They do the job well, are small and neat and well designed, but you do have to be very careful and very patient!

Good value, but very fiddly
This switch does what it says on the tin but, to be honest, if it was only 5-10mm bigger on all sides it would be perfect. As other reviewers say, it's an extremely tight fit to get everything wired up. Not insurmountable if you have good eyesight (or glasses!), and decent wirecutters/strippers and screwdrivers. You'd struggle to wire this up without the appropriate tools, though (which is probably true of most switches). One tip I would offer is to prise the earth connector out and wire that up first, then cut the neutral and live conductors to length using that as the measure.Note that the tolerances are so tight that the conductor farthest away from the earth connector needs to be slightly longer than the conductor in the middle. It is also pretty tricky to have enough external insulator left to get caught by the wire clamps - making sure all your cuts and strips are to the required length is key.But... the above is really intended to be some guidance into how best to wire the switch. It's a neat switch that's good value for money.

Contemporary function
Works well, very modern function. The one I received was different to some of the photos in the reviews in that it didn't have an earth connection, just two wires in and out. It's not that difficult to wire up, just trim about 10mm off the outer insulation and 5mm off the individual wires using wire strippers. Automatic wire strippers don't work in this situation as there's not enough cable.

Very fiddly to wire up
Used this to replace a defunct push switch on a 3 core cable lamp. No instructions how long to cut the wires in relation to each other. Very small working space. Then the switch part fell out whilst I was wiring it up, but fortunately I spotted the two contacts that had fallen out. Once I had put the contacts in the correct way round, it all worked fine. I'm not an electrician, just a normal person that can wire a plug, so thought this would be as easy as the switch it replaced. How wrong I was! Took nearly an hour to do this, but worth it as the lamp was far more expensive than the switch itself.

Rubbish!
This item is not a double pole switch and it is only rated at 2 Amps (figure moulded on the case). It is small, flimsy and lacks proper cable restraints at each end. Not worth the money, do not buy. I immediately returned mine for a refund, which Amazon arranged promptly.I have now purchased a similar switch from Wilco for £2.25 which is vastly superior to this. The Wilco one has a good cable restraint at each end, is double pole, rated at 6 amps and even has an earth pass through. Its switch action is precise and the case has a solid feel.
