Great tutorial for learning how to create fashion illustrations with watercolor!
There are several things that I really appreciated about this watercolor book:1) he tells the specific tools you need for each painting including brush size and numbers, and specific colors for colored pencils and copics.2) The paintings include mixed media for the added details ( colored pencils and copics)3) He provides step by step instructions for each layer so the paintings are not as overwhelming for beginners and help you learn the proper steps to get these looks.4) extra details are explained too such as how to shade with watercolors and how to add fun patterns.5) both male and female figures/models are included and are diverse ( colors for mixing different skin tones)Overall, I’m finding this book a lot of fun to work through, especially during the pandemic!! I highly recommend to anyone who loves fashion and wants to learn watercolor.

Excellent Guide to Watercolor and fashion Illustration
Having followed the author for quite some time on Instagram, I was excited to learn that he wrote a book and could not wait to purchase it. The book lived up to my expectations. Well-organized and well-written, the book includes a basic primer on how to use watercolors as well as tutorials for drawing each element of a fashion illustration, culminating in a progressively harder series of exercises. The book itself is printed with great quality paper. A worthy addition to every fashion lover’s library.

This book is AMAZING!
This book is amazing! I used it for a fashion illustration class that I teach and they created beautiful watercolor bag illustrations! I also reached out to Francesco via Instagram to collaborate with him to critique my students work! He was such a pleasure to work with and provided great feedback for my students. 10/10 recommend!

Oh, What A Colour!
Francesco Lo Iacono is a fashion illustrator who may yet turn out to be the finest of the 21st century. That he is giving us a wonderfully detailed look into his process is nothing short of a blessing! His beautiful pieces are given such space to shine, printed on a stock akin to a thinner watercolour paper.Advice is handily dispensed on rendering a wide variety of clothes, tones, materials, and models in watercolour paint, Copic markers, and coloured pencils. Once the technicalities are covered, Iacono then moves onto more detailed tutorials, giving step-by-step instructions on how he creates his beautiful pieces. The concluding chapters cover digitising your traditional artwork, musings on mixed media, and Iacono's live event work (these pieces being just as gorgeous as their more laboured counterparts).Whether you wish to pursue fashion illustration as a hobby or career, or even just watercolour painting in general, this book should definitely be one of your top choices!

A fabulously intricate guide: a must-have for any aspiring artist
I have purchased many books in this subject but this one stands out from the rest which in itself is a major achievement by the author. The book details every step of the process well and covers all the relevant areas where artists of all levels face their biggest challenges. It even delves into the post processing stage - how to edit the illustrations using Photoshop, which I personally appreciate a lot.
