CHC-123DS 1.2 cu. ft. Stainless Steel Digital Control and Display Cigar Humidor with Spanish Cedar Shelves

I bought this humidor last year as a Christmas present for my husband. We had some issues with the unit not sealing properly and it had eventually developed rust around the door. I was hesitant to reach out to their support team, as it had almost been a year since purchased, but after contacting Whynter directly, Chenie was so helpful and understanding. We were immediately sent a replacement and after seasoning, this one has worked perfectly. We are so pleased with this product and their customer service has exceeded our expectations!

If you have a cigar lover this is a great gift. The system is a bit big so you need space but it holds boxes and lots of cigars. Make sure to also buy distilled water and boveda packs to season it before adding anything inside. It stacks nicely and looks great!

Good product for the price. Wood seems to be genuine quality and the door seals well. Shockingly the hydrometer is also accurate. Holds around 100 sticks with room to add more cedar to help stabilize humidity. Was concerned it would come with a factory scent, but did not. As for the drawbacks, the temperature does not go above 65 degree's and the summer humidity causes on the cooling element after opening the door leading to a spike in humidity. Would recommend but watch the humidity.

I will say that this cigar humidor isn't worth the nearly $400.00 I spent for it. Maybe half that. It does however keep the expensive Cuban cigars at nearly moist levels at a 80% relative humidity. Recommended more around 70%. Depending on your own preferences. This is told by it's digital hygrometer that it came with. I suppose you'd have to be expert at determining the humidity beads, expensive Boveda humidity packs, distilled water or other concoction. The biggest positive is it holds at least 150 - 250 cigars, comfortably. When I first received the unit, the digital temp. controls couldn't reach 65F (upper limit). Now somehow it indicates that. The noise is an acceptable level but it (fan, fan motor?) still makes it. Suggest isolating it in an area where it won't be a bother. I have mine in a small closet with the door closed while plugged into an AC outlet of course. In short, I'd see if there is anything else out there before you "pull the trigger" on this one. Or, at least get it "on sale" at a better price. Good luck.

This looks like it fell out of a truck and rolled down the highway. I don’t think it was shipped this way because the box was in great shape.

I've had my Whynter Cigar Humidor for 3 years now. The product looks great in my office but more importantly, it is a product that helps to store and regulate your cigar collection This is clearly an upgrade from a passive humidor. Pros: Lots of room, looks great, regulates temperature, quiet operation, great customer support Cons: It does not have an active humidification built-in. The analog hygrometer is cheap. This was not a cheap product, but I a a serious cigar guy, and I really like the utility and practicality of the product. It has helped me manage my cigar collection and keep it in great shape. And did I mention, it looks great. I've had to replace the the cooling unit 2 times, as the main board failed. However, customer service has been great. The first time I replaced the board, it was under warrantee, so that was a no brainer. However, the second time, it was out of warrantee but the kind folks at Whynter customer service stood by their product and sent me a second replacement board. Honestly, though a product like this should give you years of service. But no product is 100% perfect . A shoutout to Jackie, at customer service who took care of me with responsive communications and quick service. That said, I was able to do the repair myself. If I had to have it professionally repaired, I may have had to pay for the service. Too any manufacturers do not seem to care much about after-service, and make it very difficult to get any customer service. Anytime, I have to deal with defective product, and where the company stands behind their product, I feel that deserves a 5 star.

He estado tratando de solucionar el problema de este humidor durante más de una semana y media sin éxito. Lo dejé abierto para que se secara, retiré todos los puros, probé con sobres Boveda e incluso coloqué arroz seco dentro para reducir la humedad. A pesar de todo esto, la humedad se mantiene alrededor de 84%. Probé con un segundo higrómetro y ambos muestran la misma lectura, así que claramente no se trata de un sensor defectuoso. Desafortunadamente, este problema ya arruinó algunos de mis costosos puros cubanos. La unidad es completamente poco confiable y no mantiene niveles adecuados de humedad. No puedo recomendar este humidor

Happy with it, but I suggest you don’t follow the instructions on seasoning the humidor, it made mine too humid. Use boveda packs instead.

Very quiet , works great , but not worth the money and definitely will never hold 250 cigars that would have to be no shelves with 250 cigars stuffed in there , the unit is narrow but deep , which is awkward if you try placing any other cigar tray in there , and with the flat shelves you kind of need to add trays. If you have a very small collection maby 50 cigars and a couple boxes if they’re the right shape and size you would be fine , but I have 3 humidors I was expecting to fit into this one unit ( a lot less than 250 cigars ) but I guess I was dreaming.
