Excellent Task Light
Bought this bulb along with a "down bridge" type lamp so the bulb would cast light downward for good task lighting. Works great. The bulb's tapered shape casts more light than normal off its end, opposite the screw base. Casts BRIGHT, WHITE light on the task. Gave it to my Mom who loves jigsaw puzzles and this light really helps her see the detail and colors. Bulb gets warm but not scorching hot like an incandescent bulb of equivalent brightness. Only problem is that it's such a good task light, now I want one for my office.
