While traveling, I used the small part of the strap (the part with the win attached) to save myself from dropping my phone. It worked perfectly for capturing video and pics while sticking my arm out of an offload vehicle or while meandering in a natural hot spring. Both were situations where dropping my phone would have been very bad. For everyday use however, it was a bit cumbersome to have an extra strap attached. I removed it as soon as I got home and my phone was out of real danger.I'll definitely be re-attaching it when I travel again.

Didn't work with my spec case (iphone 6 plus). It also was pretty flimsy metal... not sure it would have been 100% secure.

I snagged my lanyard with moderate force and the metal loop got bent. The loop was obviously a string of metal that was bent into to shape without making contact...and prob. why it gave out.

I love this attachment! I looked for weeks at different pouches, etc but finally decided to give this kit a try. It arrived early and was simple to attach. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the actual lanyard. The attachment is metal and the edges wore through the thin part of the lanyard after several days of wearing it. That was easily fixed with a small metal key ring.

Good concept. The screws provided are too short to engage the threads of the iPhone if you use the plate, which is the point of the product. Basically worthless because of the short screws. I do not recommend, unfortunately.

I found it difficult to wear around neck, as it kept bumping into objects as I worked
