S&B Curry Gold Vegetable Hot, 8.1-Ounce (Pack of 5)

This is one of my two favorite premade curries. It's a Japanese curry, not an Indian one, so if you don't like your food so spicy you cry, this is the curry for you. There's nothing easier than preparing this curry. You can throw the bag in boiling water and let it cook. You can heat the sauce in a saucepan. You can throw it on a bed of cooked rice and microwave it for like 90 seconds. However you want to do it, you're going to get an excellent vegetable curry with almost no effort. This and the slightly milder House Foods curry sauce are delicious, cheaper than going to a restaurant, and probably easier than getting all the way out to your car to drive somewhere to get food. Of course, it's not going to be quite as good a fresh curry, either homemade or from a quality curry restaurant, but for a couple bucks and a few minutes' time, this can't be beat.

My favorite curry in ready made packs? Sign me up. Perfect for the office lunch, just add rice and a can of chicken if you're feeling frisky. It comes out very similar to when I make it at home, and the pouches are easy to work with.

For a conventional box curry this particular variety of S & B is really quite good.

While this isn't the best ever curry mix available, it IS pretty good. What makes it worth buying is the simplicity. You literally just boil the bag in a pot of water, cut it open and pour it over cooked rice (or noodles) and you're done. Instant curry dinner for one. (or two if you are just snacking) The box is marked "Hot" and it's got a decent level of spice or heat, but it's not hot by my standards, if you're looking for fire breathing hot curry, you'll want to add some spices of your own and do some doctoring here. But again, for a quick curry fix or snack, it'll work fine. There are some small carrots & potatoes in the packet already & they are ok, totally edible. I usually cook a small lamb chop or pork chop to add to the rice for a full meal after a busy day - makes a nice enough cold weather meal with a favorite movie type of thing.

Good for those late night meals.

Best tasting bag curry ive found

I bought this thinking it was the paste to make the sauce. It's not. It is the ready made sauce. What's more, it includes potatoes and carrots that are cooked beyond recognition. My children, who usually like golden curry, wouldn't eat the vegetables because they were super mushy. The flavor of the actual sauce is good, though.

If you enjoy spicy curry, this is amazing. It’s just vegetables, but over hot rice, very good. I use this brand of curry bricks when I make my homemade curry, it’s the best!
