Yes, we rinsed after a few minutes of applying.

Do u add this in to bath or use after?

You can certainly use a small capful to a bath but as I usually shower these days I just put a very small amount on my hands and smooth over legs and arms to prevent itching. I have been using this for 20 years or more. Started in England and so glad I can get this in the USA.
