Worked well to help compact grade.
I like the ease of using this probe. The ball valve really helps to control the flow and water pressure that exits the end of the probe! Recommended!

It works as designed
Brought another design before this and it broke within 3 attempts and clogged badly. Purchased this and it was great! Even if I did plug it up, it was easy to clear and keep going which was really helpful. It was easy to keep straight while inserting into the ground. The best I have found for a DIYer! Thanks!

Nozzle stops up every 3 inches of soil penetration
At full water force, inserting rod carefully and slowly into clay soil, the tip of the rod stops up every 3 inches or so, requiring me to remove the rod and unclog the tip. This makes the tool worthless for this type of soil. It clogs up because the nozzle is no smaller than the inner diameter of rod, so the soil entering thru the nozzle fills the inner diameter of rod and water cannot force it back out. The much less expensive Varomorus Stainless design has a pointed tip with the nozzle much smaller than much larger rod diameter and thus soil entering the nozzle is not held in place by the inner walls and the water force breaks up and ejects the clog easily. It's a much better design but it's rod is not long enough. This T&T tools is virtually worthless to me since it allows me to remove only a tablespoon of soil at a time.

like maybe a filter of some sort about 2 inches ...
Worked really well initially but got clogged up the first day and we can't get it unclogged. I think we might have probed once or twice without water running and it caused the dirt to be jammed inside. These should include some sort of tool or even warning that it can get clogged to the point the water won't make its way out. We take partial blame of course but there should be some sort of fail safe, like maybe a filter of some sort about 2 inches in so that dirt can only jam up so high on the probe. That way the force of water would push out whatever dirt may jam in there. If not for the jam up issue, I would have given it 5 stars.

Life saver
So, if you are in any kind of business that requires you to probe the ground you know that it can be a tedious task and often very difficult. This probe is a game changer! It can prove through even the worst clay soil with little effort. It has made my job much easier! Would highly recommend this to anyone in need of a probe!!!

Very well made and easy to use
I like how slender the shaft is so that it doesn't trap a lot of water under the dirt. That way, it doesn't spit back at you under pressure. Very nice product. I'd recommend.

It works
This tool is sturdy enough for the job. You use it to jet through the compacted soil for deep watering. So, you don't just jam it in; you jet it in using water pressure. It works well.

Not for gumbo and corroded
This tool is called a probe not a watering device. It will water blast a hole through gumbo but it’s not going to magically be able to force water into the gumbo. The water wants to flow back up to the surface around the probe. This also corroded significantly in a week in situ.
