Hypafix Dressing Retention Tape 2 Inch x 10 Yards - Pack of 2 Rolls, Original version

This is an excellent German medical product. I've been an allergy mess since childhood. Plenty of allergies from airborne pollen. Plus a synergistic allergy effect from food allergies to dairy, eggs, etc. Those allergies express themselves in skin rashes and nasal congestion. Now, in my dotage years, I have a stomach G tube needed for drugs, etc. Since there is stomach leakage, I need to dress the opening several times a day. I am allergic to most adhesives used in many of the so-called "hypoallergenic"tapes. I stumbled onto Hypafix brand tape on Amazon. It works great for me. If you have sensitive skin that turns into rashes when you use most other brands of tape, give this one a try. You very well could be pleasantly surprised. Great product!

HYPAFIX did NOT bother my skin, and it is very BREATHABLE. it also sticks to WEEPING skin common with stony problems. I have skin folds that sweat and I use this product for tissue degradation and getting my ostomies to stay longer. I first apply calamine lotion on the very weepy areas, I let the Calamine dry for a brief time. ORIGINAL calamine lotion drys and absorbes weeping the best for me and and drys quickly. Although i have several retention product options , only the HYPAFIX tape adheres to the lotion , or yeast cream etc and still STICKS! Yet can also be removed easily. I am amazed at this since I used a McKesson tape that seemed to be identical, but I went into a "scratching scraping rage" with that, whereas - for whatever reason HYPAFIX did not make me scratch so badly. * Note to usage * use sharp szizzors from the paper side to cut. If you cut from the cloth side, it sticks to the szizzors. not a really big deal but annoying. ALSO: After it is cut, it is hard to get off the paper backing, BUT here is the fool proof trick. Place your finger or thumb on the TAPE side, on the OUTER EDGE of the tape strip and lightly pull your finger over the tape towards the middle. It will start to come off the backing and then you can easily apply. I start on the middle edge verses either end, but try what works best. ALSO it is 2 INCHES wide but is split - when you want that width to one inch. I use both for different sites. HYPAFIX also sticks to the cloth of an ostomy bag and skin simultaneously if you want it too. I certainly would try it. at $10 for 10 YARDS it is a great bargain and many home uses too. I will try and attach photos when I figure how to send them on this site.

My surgeon asked me to sue this tape for my wound and I wasn't able to find it at any local chemists, so it was great to be able to purchase it online and have it delivered very quickly.

Most excellent tape. Works well with my tender, old age skin. Great adhesion quality.
