I'd give this comb 6 stars if I could. I've pulled enough fur our of my German Shepherd in a couple of minutes to knit a whole new dog. And he loves it. The cat also loves it and he's a bit of a nightmare to brush usually. If you're unsure, give it a go. Best grooming tool I've ever had.

Full disclosure my dogs fur isn't matted as I brush her every other day, however, she is a Golden Retriever with very thick long fur around her neck, chest and pants. This comb was amazing it has removed all tangles and thinned out the fur a great deal after just one use, its good quality and pretty sharp. Easy to use and hold. The rate or hair removal is unbelievable! The only suggestion I can make is that if you have a very furry dog like A goldie, shepherd or husky, use it outside. Don't make my mistake and "give it a go" in the living room, My front room looks like the scene in Gremlins when he spills water over the Mugwae lol fur balls everywhere!! I'm not convinced another dog didnt drop out or her coat and explode at one point ;)

Unbelievably happy with this product. Both of my boys gets brushed regularly with a comb but I’ve noticed some matting in my dual coated boy so bought this and tested on his brother first who’s fur very rarely comes out with the comb and seem to have lost half a cat in the process of brushing! It works really well, and they don’t seem to be bothered by the brushing (yet to see how the other feels) but this is a great product that is worth the money. 100% would recommend.

Absolutely amazing bit of kit. Got this to use on my very long haired cat who gets clumps and mats. Used it outside, which is essential given the fact it removed so much fur. Cat unfazed by it in fact he quite enjoyed it. Started at the ends of the mats and worked towards the skin with the side with fewer teeth. Got loads out. Then gave him a quick go with the side with more teeth. The amount of under coat removed was incredible, the lawn looked like another cat had been removed! By this time he had had enough so will keep using it every few days. Highly recommend, but use it outside unless you want a house full of flying fur

Absolutely awesome tool. I have 3 GSDs. Two long coats and one short coat. Works like magic on all three. My one long coat is a rescue and hates grooming and will growl and react, but not with this tool. I’ve never been able to get so much dead coat out before. Where have you been all my life. Can’t recommend it enough.
