Straight Off of a Mongolian Horse's......Tail!
I haired a nyckelharpa bow with this product, and I am quite satisfied. It only took a couple of hours of "silent sawing" on the instrument before the hair began to produce sound. It is still soaking up the rosin, and is sounding better al the time. Good tone! It comes rolled in a wreath, with the head secured by a knot and superglue. I tied a new knot, and cut the glued portion off. This may affect your length requirements by an inch. The rolling makes it unruly to deal with until soaked in water and combed. I ordered another couple of hanks.

Not enough hair for a violin bow
Each hank of hair has a little more than half of the amount needed for a violin bow. I measured it with a Herdim violin hair gauge. The quality of the hair was ok. I sent it back.

Quality good but Quantity small
This hair is good quality but the hair quantity is small

TOO SHORT
29 inches is cutting it close for the average bow. The frog end of the hair is tied off and soaked with super glue for more than 1 inch. After cutting the glue off it is too short.
