This device feels cheap (light plastic) and has weird internal lights and features. I don't like it as well as the Radel taanpuras, though I went through two of those, also evidently not well made. The sound is pretty good, but it was too expensive, given the quality. Lesson learned: Nothing is better than a real taanpura.

Well, It works ok but somehow I was expecting more. It is quite limited in its sound variations.

I was using itanpura IPhone app. Instead of dealing with the app, I felt having this at home is worth it. The product works as expected. I would recommend this to others.

The tanpuras sound was almost non existent, it barely produced any sound and the volume would not change, certain buttons did not work including the tempo and others. It is not ‘new’ as described it is an older model of some sort.

This electronic tanpura is compact and has a number of options. It has options for pitch order (ni pa and ma). It is powered by four rechargeable AAA batteries (not included). There is a port to plug in a cable to charge the batteries. The internal charger can handle 110 and 220 volt systems. As this machine comes from India, I got a cable that would have had to have an adapter plug. The receptacle for the plug into the machine itself is universal and I easily found a cable with the appropriate plug for a 110 Canadian system, but be prepared. It's handy to use either plugged in or independently with charged batteries. The pitch can be adjusted from a rich low chord note of A0 (below C1, taking C4 as middle C) to a B3 (just below C4). Tone can be adjusted using a humorous tone control reading "gents' and "ladies". Gents have a darker timbre.The tempo (basically when the beat signifying the repeat of the chord) can be adjusted, as can the volume. Nice for a background meditative sound, for various vocal exercises and for practising chords and overtones - or get your guitar out and set it as background for a rendition of the Beatles' Norwegian Wood!

Très efficace pour l'accordage du sitar et comme accompagnateur lors de l'alap. Très bonne fabrication. la pochette en mousse est bien adaptée aux transports. La version 2016 a une déco un peu kitch mais ça fait son charme. Attention à ne mettre que des piles rechargeable car l'appareil recharge les piles lorsqu'il est branché au 230V, ceci est dit dans le mode d'emploi.

Great product for singing and doesn’t occupy much space. Speed of delivery from India to Australia was great. Highly recommend.
