Scrumbles Softies, Plant Based Dog Training Treats, 90g

I originally purchased these treats as part of a secret Santa gift for my colleague who has a fussy eater for a dog. As I was wrapping them up, my own dog was glued to me, so they must smell fantastic to dogs! That being said, I didn’t really notice a strong scent myself, so it’s great if you want to have them around the house. Considering how fascinated my own dog was, I bought some more of these (and in different flavours) for him, and usually he struggles with different foods but was able to eat and digest these easily (and had no troubles later on down the line either!). They are a slightly soft treat, so you can split them in half with ease, and are about the size of a 50 p coin. I will definitely be buying him these for special occasions in the future!

I purchased these Scrumbles Calming treats as an alternative to our regular ones for our labrador. These are hypoallergenic which is great as there's a few ingredients she can't have due to allergies and these are free from all of those. They're quite large treats, 2.5cm in diameter and 0.6cm thick, roughly the same size as a 10p coin and i counted 31 treats in the bag which is a decent amount and good value. They're a crumbly biscuit texture, easy to break in half for a smaller sized dog. I've not tried them for taste but my dog loves them. She never turns her nose up at these and will always want more, yet she can be very picky at times so these are obviously good. The ingredients are natural with no rubbish and include chamomile and lemon balm for their calming properties. Do they work? Kind of yes, if she has 4 or 5 treats at once or spread out over the day to keep her topped up then they just help to take the edge off a bit but they don't make her settle for a 2 hour nap for example. She has a habit of waking us up during the night though and these do seem to help her sleep through better after a busy day. Overall, I really like these Scrumbles Calming treats. So does our dog so we'll be buying these again.

Nice healthy treat for any dog

Tried everything to try and help calm my older dog and thought I’d give these a shot as he is a sucker for a treat and would save me struggling to get any sort of tablet down him. I didn’t hold out much hope, but boy, do they work! After 20 minutes of having 2-3 he is cosied up in his favourite arm chair! I am so impressed with them, that I have now put them on subscription. The treat is a good size (about a 10p) but break them in half to make him think he is getting more. They are great value for money too! I was skeptical, but the are very effective.

Now a compulsory bedtime treat. And before bedtime. And after bedtime.

My two VERY reactive miniature dachshund puppies did really enjoy these treats. I can't say that they had an immediate effect but I did notice that the pups seemed calmer in the house but that wasn't really a problem as they didn't bark much. On our walks, they still bark at everyone, everything and absolutely nothing at all! Oh well for the price they were worth trying.

Based on my Dachshunds excitement when I open these treats I would say they are delicious (at least to him). I wouldn't describe them as training treats, especially for a small dog, but I suppose there is no reason why you couldn't break them in half for that purpose if you wanted as they are very soft. If I am ordering other items on amazon I usually add a couple of packs of these especially if they are on offer
