This is my second purchase of this product. Last year I made a repair to a broken tile in our guest bathroom. That tile is white and had a hole punched into it by a contractor. After completing the work you cannot see the repair. The second repair last year (from the same kit) was to a tile something heavy was dropped on and the tile shattered. I was able to get major pieces glued in but other areas needed to be filled. That tile was beige and I found the color matching to be a challenge. In the end the match was fairly good. I can see the repair if I go looking for it but it blends in fairly well. This year a bought a kit to repair some shower tiles that were broken when the shower was built decades ago. The breaks were fairly clean and you can’t see the repair even if you look for it. The biggest hurdle for me was color matching when there is a large surface exposure. Other than that the product use was straightforward.

I ended up using bondo, rather than the white putty that was supplied, since the putty seemed a little too thick and dry to tool easily and I did not know if it would provide and adequate waterproof barrier inside a shower. I would recommend mixing the pigment with the bondo or the putty rather than trying to paint the repair afterwards. The waterproofing lacquer seem to protect the paint very well, but it is easy to see brush strokes and it is somewhat glossy. I have not tried to sand the lacquer to remove the gloss for fear of damaging the finish on my matte finished custom tile mural! You could probably order a set of pigments for epoxy resin and use them to tint bondo or other thickened epoxy product, but it is nice to get everything you need in a single kit, with good instructions for how to use it at a reasonable price. My repairs aren't perfect, but no one would notice them unless I pointed them out. They look a lot better than the holes in the tile did!

We were trying to patch some hairline cracks in our tile. Our tile is a very faint off-white, slightly marbled grey color. This kit comes with several paint colors in darker tones of browns, reds, yellows. Would probably be great for tiles of those colors. But trying to match my grey white color was very difficult. I think they best part of the kit was the epoxy lacquer substance you put on after you paint. That seals everything in and kind of makes it translucent so you can't even hardly tell there was ever a crack there! Would have been perfect if we could have successfully matched the color we needed.

I used this to repair a plate from Morocco. It was a set of three on a wire stand. I tried to find a replacement but they were hand made and there was nothing on the internet that I could find that was close. I glued the pieces together with Gorilla 5 minute 2 part epoxy. I then use the filler from this kit to fill the gaps and cracks, The first coat I thinned some of the filler with water so it would flow into the cracks. After it dried I rubbed the filler in the cracks until it was level. (I should have done a third coat to level completely but my wife was happy in the end. I used 400 grit sand paper to smooth any high areas. I then used the pigments mixed them as close as I could to match the colors. Except the black and white. I didnt use the brush included, I had some food modelers paint brushes. I would have prefered to level the cracks a little more but my wife likes them she said it gives character. Overall, I didnt use it as directed, but the outcome was great. See pics I included with this review. I recommend this product.
