Long term review - zero rust in 4 years.
I used these daily for a year in converting Citadel paint pots for dropper bottles, and then when I had to move abroad for three years, they sat in storage unused. Happy to say they still are rust free three years later and I've had nothing but success. If you're looking for rust-free balls this is it.

Works with model paints as well…
This product works with my model paints as well. But I am sure it will help mix up nail polish though I don’t know from personal experience. Lol

The only balls of steel you need
I use these balls for agitating my hobby paints and they work perfectly and without any detectable rust or corrosion. You can drop one of these into a $4.00 pot of Citadel paint with confidence.

Balls for mixing
They are smaller than I was hoping for but they did the job I’m mixing my paint

Work well fo paint agitators
Got these to use in my huge collection of army painter paints. They work great, and were much cheaper than the ones from Army Painter themselves. So far no rust or anything, and it's been about six months.

Good product!!!!
This is a very good product. I bought it twice now. Sometimes I do have to use two of the balls in one bottle if it is a bigger bottle. It will be recommending this product to family and friends. Joy

MINI PAINTER: Tested for 2 years in Water and Isopropyl Alcohol - These are flawless!
I purchased these for the first time on September 10, 2018, after doing a lot of research on how I could enhance the life and mixture of my acrylic paints, inks, as well as enamel and alcohol-based hobby paints.A lot of scary articles warned against using low quality steel agitators, and recommend using something inert, like glass instead. I tried glass, which kind of suck because they are just such low weight (they basically don't mix thick paint at all), or they could potentially shatter if using a powerful machine-based shaker.Eventually, I settled on these (as having a very high quality steel rating, and being a company that's localish to where I live in British Columbia). Worried that I might open my paint to find it full of rust (as so many articles showed), I placed two of these in dropper bottles containing tap water and isopropyl alcohol, to do an experiment. Two years later, and the results are in! The first picture shows the water coloration (middle dropped is flow aid, as a control - you can see the tint of the color is a result of the lighting conditions - NOT impurities in the water). If you look at the 1-star reviews for this product, ALL OF THEM use a brine solution (salt water) and soak the BBs within. Most do not even specify the amount of salt used. Well, as a regular painter, I can tell you that acrylic paints aren't salty. As a water based paint which uses binders and medium DESIGNED TO HOLD UP OVER YEARS AS A LIGHTFAST ART PRODUCT, I think my methodology holds up. Argument from absurdity, but it works: how would it make any sense at all to add salt or any reactive electrolyte to paint that's designed to be stable over time?Especially after doing some research about marine applications for stainless steel: there is no such thing as salt-water proof steel. Only resistant. And there's no science in the world that says that 316/L stainless won't pit or produce rust when submerged under salt water... it can only resist such corrosion for *CONSTRUCTION* applications and STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY.I put these under my loupe, and you can see, these are totally unscathed after two years submerged in fluid.HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I have purchased hundreds of these and I use them in all of my painting products.

Perfect for my Reaper paints, a little small for the thicker Vallejo paint
I added these 3/16" balls to my miniature paint dropper bottles. They're just right for the thinner Reaper paints--I can hear the ball rocketing around the bottle when I give it a shake. My Vallejo paints are thicker, and it takes quite a bit of vigorous shaking before I can sense the ball move around. I've tried to compensate by using two balls in the Vallejo paints. The balls seem to help in the thicker paint, but I'd be inclined to buy larger ones next time.

Used these to clean bottles...
Bought these to use as cleaning beads for my wine bottles. I make my own wine at home and he wine sentiment builds up on the bottles. Traditional cleaning beads are 4 times more expensive and are basically the same, just stainless steel ball bearings. Worked wonders for me and saved myself a few bucks.
