How much sun does it need to charge?

It just needs very little sun from what I've seen. It turns on every night just as the sun goes down, how long the solar charge lasts each night? I haven't been up in true early darkness yet to see if they are still working. Haven't had even a leaf chewed out of the garden since installing 2 of these, need to get 2 more.

Yes, I had rats digging in my outdoor space. I put old fashioned traps and rat glue nothing worked.
