All components were included in the package and were sturdy.

It’s not quite waterproof but it can be sealed up. Now one thing I like is you can replace the socket where as the other that was in my truck was all molded together. When I went to use it the first time the ground prong pulled out with the cord.

I was looking for an outlet like this so that I could easily plug in a generator at our hunting shack. We use a 1,600 watt 120 volt inverter generator, and the 30 amp receptacles for $75 at the hardware stores and other places was way overkill for us. Now we just plug an extension cord into this and into our generator, and all of our lights and outlets work.FYI, you might want to purchase a 1.5" conduit locknut to secure this once you install it. The provided 4 screws work fine, but since the body of the unit is threaded, I added the conduit locknut just for added peace of mind.

Easy replacement or retrofit, in my case the an older RV had a pull through/ pull out cable which I wanted to make a plug-in port for use with extension. I had to fabricate a custom mounting plate but worked fine. Good quality and value.

Replaced plug ends on HD extension cords. Guides on the plugs for wire stripping. The screws that secure the wire, case, and cord keeper reach deep into to the tough plastic fixture and tighten firmly, securely, and perfectly aligned. Wires push into isolated, silos for secure separation and straight lockdowns. Silos are color coded black, white, green. The cord keeper was the correct width for 12 ga wire side by side, and locked down securely.

Used on a couple of my vehicles instead of having a cord hanging out the front of my vehicle. They would come with the locknut. The back is threaded but they don’t include a locknut. I have a couple on my other vehicles from Park Power and they come with screws and a locknut. The locknut is nice for a screwless install. It does come with screws to screw it on but it’s threaded so I don’t know why they don’t include a locknut. You can only do one or the other. Went to Home Depot and got a couple of locknuts.

Nice quality receptacle and housing, with a well fitting cover for the rear connections. Mounting screws are stainless and adequate for installation in a variety of materials. Minus 1 star because the outside front cover shrank in the cold and is not a very tight fit. REVISED: It's 2 weeks later and -31*C today, front cover broke and fell off...not much good if the cover breaks off. Disappointed. REVISION 2: Contacted the seller and they are sending out a replacement cover right away. Regained that 4th star for fast and equitable customer service.

ne peux dire pour résistance aux intempéries vu que mon utilisation est pour ainsi dire a l abri .C est la 2 ou 3e fois que j utilise ce produit pour permettre de créer un/des points d entrée pour du 120vpour un circuit dédié d urgence ( donc indépendant totalement des circuits de la maison) a partir d une génératrice dans un batiment - attention ces prises sont conçues pour 120v 15 ampères - certaines génératrices ont des ports de sortie 120v de potentiellement 20 ampères veuillez donc a ne pas surcharger les dits circuits d urgence . permettent une installation ''propre'' et professionelle si désiré

I had this installed for my bunkie so that I were outdoors have electricity without having to be wired up from the house. I use an extension cord plugged into my outside shed and brought to the back of my bunkie where an outlet was created. Before winter comes I can unplug it and it’s safely disconnected until spring comes. A good alternative for a 3 season bunkie

Install one in my wife's car and one in my truck. They were connected to the block heaters of both. N9 longer losing extensi9n cords or having the block heater plug fuinig my paint on the front of the car. Very neat installation and looks good

Simple to install. Hardware included sturdy enough so far (only used 4 times so far) black screws would have been a better choice by supplier.Inlet provides very secure fit for extension cord.Screw connections hold very well to 14/2 wire.The "weatherproof" cap provides a loose seal at best. For under $20 I would recommend if you live somewhere with average/minimal rainfall.
