Metal Earth Doctor Who Tardis 3D Metal Model Kit Fascinations

As a child I dreamed of having my own Tardis, so when I saw this I had to have it. Some parts were a challenge, but overall this was a fun build.

This is one of my favorite models. The blue metal really makes this look special. I love that, once built, the doors will open and close. However you will need tweezers to grab the door handle, because it is way too small to use just fingers. That or I have bear hands. Let's go with too small. It was fun putting this one together. The only challenging party was installing the doors because of the curve required on that section. Normally for smaller rounded sections I use the center of a q-tip to get a good curve. This was smaller by quite a bit. Other than that the build went well, despite the bear hands. Wait, what bear hands? I am very happy with how this turned out. Great quality. Beautiful result. I would buy this again. I won't, but I would.

Fun little model to build. Not much difficulty versus some of the other Metal Earth models and the blue color looks great. My only screw up was attaching one of the police box signs upside down. I was able to redo it though. It would have been nice if the tabs had been spaced to prevent that. The fit of the four #8 corner pieces could have been better too. Overall though it worked out well.

I have built several of these models. From Hogwarts castle in the snow, down to a grand piano, and in between. This is one of the hardest models, due to size and thinness of some pieces. I got all the way to piece 6, but then piece 6 broke while I was *trying* to bend along the perforations.

I got this for my husband and he loved it! It took him a while longer than he expected which he enjoyed. and the finished product is really cute! he heeps it on his desk in his office. It's really cool that it's metal too! be careful not to bend or scratch it while putting it together. bends make it really frustrating.

This is a model with very small detail pieces and almost microscopic tabs. Too small for my 72 year old eyes and shaky fingers. Probably great for a younger modeler. I was a kid living in Birmingham England in 1964 for the original Doctor Who. EXTERMINATE!

So I LOVE Doctor Who and I was so happy when they released these products and all in all its a great product and side by side with me licensed DW TARDIS model it looks pretty damn good. So there is only one reason then for the missing star. The Police Box placards that you have to place must either be slightly off or there is just no way to get them to line up perfectly without over working the very thin strips that give it dimension. I have quite an extensive history with building these models and there is always something that is more difficult that in needed to be but this one just irked me so although I LOVE all things Doctor Who,,, I could not give a full 5 stars because there are some parts that just didn't match up as cleanly as they do in other models. It is however AWESOME that the doors open and close!! Very Rare in the Lazer Cut Metal Model world.

This one I have to say was not the hardest one to build, I read some of the other reviews about how fragile these pieces are and I agree. For some reson they seem to have used a lighter gauge of steel. Nothing broke on me and I didnt have any problems making 90 degree bends. I attached the Police Box signs before I made all the hard 90's at the verry top. I bent the tabs that hold the signs, attached them and it worked fine. The hardest part for me were the bottom hinges for the door,yes hinges the doors do open a little. I had to really make those round pieces tight so that the doors actually close, If you mess up the beacon at the top dont worry,they made a spare. But like I said earlier this one does feel lighter and if you bend a 90 degree and realize it needs to be opened again, it will probably break. But with all the Metal Earth models you can jump ahead to make sure you can complete bending a 90 degree angle . I managed to keep it scratch free, the picture is the best I could do. It has reflective surfaces, and the white fuzzy stuff is lint, I tried cleaning It

Muy pequeño modelo de rompecabezas 3D. No lo recomiendo para adultos o jóvenes sin habilidades manuales para armarlo, nunca para niños. Aunque los cortes y material sí son de calidad.

Für jeden Fan ein Muss. Macht sich prima mit meiner DW Sammlung. Ist aber ziemlich schnell zusammen gebaut gewesen. Das war das einzig schade daran. Ist einfach zusammenzubauen.
