Very good quality, these cases are super tough I use them with work all the time have never seen one fail.

These cases are everything you need if you are looking for a heavy duty carrying case. I've used different Pelican Cases for years and have no real complaints. This unit comes with the 'Pick N Pluck' foam which makes it very easy to custom fit just about any size and shape item. Although it works great to protect most items, keep in mind that it will not work very well for extremely heavy items which will have a tendency to compress the foam and move around. For those, considered purchasing a harder foam from various vendors that offer pre-cut solutions.Pelican warranty has been great and I've used them a couple of times to replace parts that got damaged during shipping (handles).This case comes with 3 layers of foam; a corrugated layer in the lid, a thick 'Pick N Pluck' layer in the middle and a thin layer bellow that. Love Pelican Cases. My first was a 1690 I bought for a 3 month bivouac. Customized it with a external waterproof AC plug and internal 5 vdc USB charging ports. Worked great as a changing seat, card table, charging station, etc. This 1520 has all the same hallmarks of durability to withstand anything you can through against it. I upgraded my sound recording kit bag from a Maxpedition Noatak Gearslinger to this when I eventually ran out of space. Now I feel much more comfortable moving my audio gear around and everything is much easier to find. Highly recommend.
