My copy of this beautiful, well-researched book arrived today, and I couldn’t put it down! While I know the stories of some of the women who are featured, I am learning a great deal about others in sports like sailing, alpine skiing, and race-car driving (!) that I knew little about. I can’t wait to share this book with all the female athletes in my family and with my young granddaughters who can quickly learn that their lives have few limits.

Cover to cover, page to page, this book got this "man" to revel in the achievement and influence of 100 female athletes. My wife asked me to buy the book for her. It arrived; I started to skim it but then found myself engrossed for hours, unable to put it down until finished.Laken Litman's research was exhaustive and her writing is superb. Each story has a consistent level of factual precision and impact, and is written in an engaging, "pay attention" style. Even if you knew 100% of the facts beforehand, there is a human side the author brings out which gives you a deeper appreciation of the individual's achievements and lasting impact.It is both a reference book and thought provoking narrative of how far we've come thanks to these 100 women and the work of the author.
