Good little scanner. Does most of the functionality tests and learns that I need to do on my Mopar and GM vehicles. User interface is easy. Software updates are readily available. Good battery life. It’s no Snap-On Zeus, but it keeps up with the name brand big dogs. I have had it for 3 years and have not had a problem with it once.

I got the MK808Z, and it's wonderful. Wife operates a mobile business so being able to diagnose and quickly repair things at the house is extremely helpful to get back on the road quickly. Being able to scan all modules other the ECM is just what we need to fix the yellow wren light. I was also able to do the rear brakes of my '19 VW Tiguan with the service mode. Was able to reset my buddys airbag light after he unplugged it. I was able to turn off the annoying auto start stop function. First time setup was easy, updating out of the box only took about an hour. I would recommend if you're interested in being more serious about doing your own maintenance. Scanning for trouble codes and having the MK808Z give you much more indepth information other than a code is amazing and I absolutely love it!

I wanted to have a scanner that had coverage across domestic, Japanese, and euro vehicles. I have a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, a 2008 Volvo s40, and a 2016 Honda Fit. This scanner has proven to do more on my car than I need it to do! It has more options available than I know what to do with as a DIYer. This is far better than the little cheap-o OBD code readers and has bidirectional controls so I am able to to active tests and relearns. This MK808z is well worth the price.

This scanner tablet is downright awesome for its price. It has helped me troubleshoot countless things and the live data spreadsheet is tremendous. The only gripe I have is that for some vehicles this thing has limited options on the module testing and diagnostic options. It doubles as an Android tablet which is great for taking notes and saving them. Autel is used by pros, this tablet is not some gimmick and you’ll find ASE certified technicians using tablets just like this one. Great buy for the price.

Be very careful when buying this. It claims to have many service functions. For Masarati Granturismo it only has 1 service function. Reset oil. You can do that with a $49 Autel 200. This item is useless for Masarati.

This product is easy to use and has broad compatibility. High quality cables and a rugged case. It's perfect for diagnosing problem using the live data funcions, DTC codes and perfom software assisted services like after you replace X part and need to calibrate, reset or teach. It helped me fix an issue I was struggling to identogy with my 2018 Elantra GT sport. I had a surging idle and after cleaning the carbon build up and going through the tablet to reset the throttle body adaptive values the issue completely went away. I also used it to reteach the Clutch touch points on my DCT transmission which improved shift feel and drivability. I recommend this for any do-it-yourselfers and small shops. Anything that requires more advanced features you would need to step up in model.

PROs: It's a fully functional code reader and live data monitor. It does ok with those things. It has some limited special functions that work on some vehicles. CONs: Lacking bi-directional support that is really needed when diagnosing vehicles today. There are options out there that do have bi-directional support for around the same cost, IMO I think my money would have been better spent on one of those and I'll likely be changing this out for one of them sooner than later. The lack of this tools ability to command the vehicle systems really just makes this a very expensive code reader, the same functionality can be had in far cheaper tools if that is all you need. To give it credit, it does what it is advertised to do. It's a pretty decent tool for reading your cars data. I just don't know that it's a good value proposition in the current market of scan tools.

I bought this to work on a chevy volt, it let me reset many modules and diagnos every module i have used it on my Jeep JK and F150 Works great/ lots of info Easy Setup

Best scanner for the money hands down. I'm a mechanic who was looking for a scanner for home, this unit can do absolutely everything my snap on solus edge does. The information graphing is a little better on the solus but the autel is still good. Unbelievably impressed

Does not provide real time engine data as advertised. Specifically for my 2003 dodge ram diesel. I needed to be able to see and monitor fuel pressure to diagnose an issue with fuel pump. Unit would not provide that or any other useful realtime data.
