READ the other reviews carefully
What the hell with the bad reviews! I love these things. For those of us who watched the wireless speaker market in its infancy, back in the day, these are great for the price. They do everything you think they do (if you're an old-timer like me). Nothing fancy, they just work. I used to have these two Sonys back in the late 90s that sounded like tin cans, but I loved them! It was sound traveling from my indoor computer to the backyard, and back then, that was amazing.Regarding batteries, I never use them. I just bring a speaker outside when I need one (or both) and plug them in. It's 2020, and there's no need to go fully wireless, just plug them in. Dude, if you had the money, you'd get other systems that do what you want them to do. For those of us that can get these for this low price, they are just fine.If you're entertaining outside, you don't want loud crap blasting over conversation, and... if you're WORKING outside by yourself, you don't want blasting crap anyways. If you did, you'd spend another 50 or 100 bucks and get a killer boombox, so please, understand. These are fine, and for the price, you can't beat it. They work great, and sound just fine.

Terrible connections
This worked decently for me for a couple of days then had speakers lose connection to the transmitter, even one only six feet away with no obstructions. Tried re-pairing multiple times, sometimes that helped for a little while sometimes not. I even replaced the transmitter thinking that it must have gone bad. Out of four speakers I originally had working well on day one I now have none that will play sound, even if they say they are synced.

Works great when Connected!
Liked the size and features of the Bluetooth speakers. Pairing was fast and easy. Sound is perfectly adequate for my purpose (which is broadcasting the TV Audio to the rear of the bed headboard). Only negative about these speakers are they lose the Bluetooth Connection occasionally and they also freeze up so that you have to unplug the AC plug to get them to wake up and respond again!

They Work for Me
From the '90s I've been using wireless speakers to extend my stereo throughout my apartment. The original pair, Recoton 900 MHz, were giving up the ghost, and I originally purchased a strong Bluetooth transmitter and two Bluetooth speakers to replace them. That was a mistake because 1) the Bluetooth process causes an audible delay in relation to the hard-wired and older wireless speakers, and 2) the transmitter interferes with other Bluetooth signals, creating static. I was pleased to find the Wolverine system, one of the few non-Bluetooth wireless systems I could find. At $70, this system is a bargain compared to my previous wireless systems.Compared to the other wireless speakers I've owned (I also have a pair from The Sharper Image), the Wolverines produce a surprising amount of bass. On the flip side, the treble isn't the clearest, but overall the sound is satisfactory. Yes, all of the system's components use the legacy AC adapter plugs, which take up space on one's power strip. I'd recommend to Wolverine that they adopt the trend I've seen with laptops, where a cord is provided between the wall and the transformer. But the use of an AC adapter is understandable, given the output of the speakers. USBs won't do the job; all of my previous wireless speaker systems employ AC adapters.Overall, I'm pleased with the system. Its performance is better than either the Recoton or The Sharper Image systems, with less static than either (the Recotons had to be manually tuned). The sound quality isn't going to knock your socks off, but they're just fine for what they are. For audiophiles, get an expensive Bose system.

Does the Job for a Reasonable Price
Good little speakers, easy to set up and use. I'm ordering a second set to use to take with me when I attend events where we need extra wireless audio capability. The remote is an excellent capability.

Might be OK for quiet house. Only way I can hear them is to keep at full volume.
The quality of sound is fine, but as quiet as they are I had to turn them both up fully to be able to hear anything. Was a little let down for the price. They work as described, and I'm sure if you had a very quiet house they may be OK. But if there is any kind of noise in the space you are in they may not be audible, and definatly will not fill the space.

Perfect for watching tv in bed
PERFECT!! At night when we go to sleep, we watch tv and a lot of times we can’t hear the tv without it being up pretty loud. With the transmitter and speakers, this work perfectly for my husband and I each to have a speaker on our nightstands. If one of us wants to go to sleep, we turn off our speaker and the other person can still hear the television with the speaker on their nightstand. This was the only speaker system that was exactly what I was looking for!

Terrible sound, waste of money.
These do not work as outdoor speakers. The sound is muffled and frequently cuts out. It was $70 wasted, and to make matters worse, Amazon Customer Service twice told me that they would let me return the item for a refund, but then refused to send a return label, so now I'm stuck with an inferior product. I would have given it zero stars if I could have.
