I love ships shirt! I’m a BiG dude and the 5x fit true and comfy with the right length in the sleeves and torso and still fit comfortable to use the hoodie. Looks good, material is cut and stitched well, great quality and great versatility. It does have a nice cooling effect if there’s a breeze blowing.

Build Quality & "Materials" As a handyman, I look for materials that won't snag the first time I brush against a rough 2x4. The Fabric: This is a high-tech blend (typically 90% Polyester, 10% Spandex). It has a "silky" feel but don't let that fool you—it’s surprisingly resilient. It features a 4-way stretch that is essential for overhead work or long casting motions. The Stitching: They used flatlock seams here. In plain English: the seams are flat against your skin, so you don't get that "sandpaper" rubbing on your shoulders after eight hours of movement. Ventilation: There are mesh panels under the arms and along the sides. Think of this as the "HVAC system" for your torso. It allows heat to escape where you sweat the most. Performance & "Job Site" Utility UPF 50 Protection: This is the "Safety Glasses" for your skin. It blocks 98% of UV rays. For a Dad who usually forgets to reapply sunscreen, this is a massive win. You can skip the greasy lotions on your arms and neck and just let the fabric do the heavy lifting. The Hood & Neck: The hood is cut "scuba-style," meaning it stays snug. If you’re on a boat going 30mph or it’s a windy day on a roof, it won't blow back constantly. Some models even come with a built-in neck gaiter (mask), which is great for dusty jobs or extreme sun. Thumb Holes: A small but vital feature. They keep the sleeves locked down so you don’t end up with a "sunburn ring" around your wrists. Maintenance & Ease of Use The "Wash and Wear" Test: This isn't high-maintenance leather or cotton. You can throw this in a cold wash, and it’ll be dry on a hanger in about 20 minutes. It runs big. But it’s a great sun shirt. I like loose fits so I wanted 3x but I messed up and got a 4x. Not even mad. I’m buying more but this time I’ll make sure it’s a 3X I normally wear a 2X shirt.

Good quality, Spandex a lil more than I thought but decent shirt and hoodie

Im a big boy that wears 3X. So I order 4X when online shopping because most often, doesnt fit true to size. 4X has a little breathing room, probably could get the 3X and still be very comfortable, will definitely get more. Feels great, breathable, has a pocket and thumb loops.

Fits well seems to be well made. Not sure of dark colors on the arms but time will tell

First, let me say that I am a big guy (6 Ft., 280 lbs) and I normally wear a 3X. I bought this one size up because of another review and it fits great. I have never owned one of these types of shirts and so have no other brand to compare it to. However, if it fits, does what it says it will do, and is cost-effective then it is a great value. This shirt matches all three of those criteria. I bought this shirt to take to a youth camp in Florida where we spend most of our days outside either doing sports, swimming, or other outdoor activity. The idea of not having to stop every 30 minutes and reapply sunblock only to seat it off almost instantly was appealing so I went for it. The shirt was delivered in a timely fashion and immediately I was struck with the quality of the material. The seams are sewn to lie flat and provide the utmost comfort. The fit was as expected and the color scheme was exactly as depicted on the site. getting straight to the point, however, I wore the shirt for the duration of the camp in the scorching Florida sun and it did not fail. I did not once get burned or have to feel the stinging pain of sunblock-laden sweat dripping into my eyes. The only thing that was even remotely disappointing was the pocket. The zipper worked well and the pocket is definitely roomy enough. However, if you put anything in it that has any weight at all the pocket hangs down below the bottom hem of the shirt. I put a couple of dollars and about $1.25 in change in there and it just hung a little bit below the hem, which did not hinder performance, but certainly was no longer hidden. It's not a big deal, but the manufacturer would have done better to tack the pocket to the shirt all the way around. At a price that is far more reasonable than many brands available, the is a performance shirt that works well at a bargain price. just buy it!

Only used this three times so far in hot sunny weather. I burn easily and this has stopped that happening. The hood is a God send. Seems to keep you cool too. Good wicking. Washes well and keeps it shape and size. For my body, sleeves are a tad long in the XL, but I just pull the sleeves up slightly and the hung the forearm well and not tight.

Super pour être plus à l’aise à la pêche en ce moment avec ce vêtement léger de protection complet et anti UV , je recommande.

Ich liebe es in den Bergen unterwegs zu sein! Ob einfaches Wandern mit oder ohne Rucksack, klettern im Klettersteig, oder alpine Bergtouren ich liebe es einfach. Und nahezu egal bei welchem Wetter, ich schitze dabei einfach wie bekloppt...an sonnigen Tagen natürlich umso mehr. Allerdings ist es auch bei wolkigen Tagen so - und das wissen nicht allzu viele Leute - dass man sich in den Bergen auch dann einen Sonnenbrand holen kann. Die entsprechende Strahlung der Sonne geht durch die Wolken durch und verpasst einem den Sonnenbrand...auch wenn das natürlich länger dauert als bei praller Sonne. Daher ist es von Vorteil sich auch an wolkigen Tagen mit Sonnencreme einzureiben, sonst erlebt man abends schnell eine unangenehme Überraschung. Der eine oder andere geht mit Sonnenbrand eher lapidar um und tut es ab als kleinen Sonnenbrand, aber nachdem ich miterleben musste wie eine Bekannte mit unter 30 Jahren an Hautkrebs gestorben ist, ist das für mich keine Kleinigkeit mehr. Jeder Sonnenbrand ist einfach eine Verletzung des größten Organes dass wir haben und führt Schritt für Schritt näher an potenzielles Hautkrebsrisiko und lässt die Haut einfach schneller alt aussehen. Da ich aber aufgrund meines vielen Schwitzens die Sonnencreme fast schon schneller wieder los bin als ich sie aufgetragen habe und das meist auch noch in den Augen brennt, musste ich mir was anderes überlegen. Ich wusste schon länger, dass es für Kleinkinder UV-Schutzkleidung gibt und wurde bei meiner Suche dann ziemlich schnell auch für Erwachense fündig. Natürlich landete ich erst bei teuren Marken, bei denen ein Shirt bei 80 und mehr Euro anfängt. Aber auf Amazon wure ich dann auf diese Marke aufmerksam und war nach Erhalt und Test der Shirts überrascht und seeehr zufrieden. Aufgrund des Preises erwartete ich ein nach Plastik stinkendes Teil, welches vermutlich auch einen total künstlichen Eindruck auf der Haut vermittelt. Aber das Gegenteil war der Fall. Beim Auspacken merkte ich lediglich den für eingepackte Kleidung typischen "Lagergeruch" bzw. "Neugeruch", aber das wars schon. Der Stoff fühlte sich sofort geschmeidig an und überhaupt nicht wie erwartet. Das Shirt liegt locker auf der Haut, reibt nicht, ist sehr leicht und vermittelt einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Gedacht ist es, wie der Markenname ja sagt (Bass = englisch für Barsch) fürs Angeln, daher wird sich das Shirt vermutlich irgendwann im Bereich der Schultern abnutzen, wenn man regelmäßig mit Rucksack unterwegs ist. Bislang ist es aber noch in einem guten Zustand. Ich habe zwei Shirts davon bislang in Benutzung gehabt und über mehrere Stunden mit Rucksack in den Alpen getragen. Abnutzungserscheinungen habe ich noch nicht festgestellt, aber dafür bin ich von Sonnenbrand verschoint geblieben. Die Kapuze habe ich die ganze Zeit auf und somit ist mein Nacken bei meinen Klettertouren diesmal verschont geblieben, Schweiß der mir mal ins Auge läuft brennt zwar auch auf Dauer aber nicht sofort und wie ein Inferno, wenn ich mich vorher mit Sonnencreme eingerieben habe. Die Daumenschlaufen könnten noch etwas größer ausfallen, aber sind ansonsten super und sorgten dafür, dass die Ärmel nicht unnötig hochrutschten. Alles in allem sind das super Shirts und ich werde mir noch ein paar mehr kaufen. Das Design (mit diesen Camouflage-Elementen) ist nicht jedermans Sache und ich muss das auch nicht unbedingt haben, aber ist nicht so aufdringlich wie bei anderen Camouflage-Sachen. Außerdem gibt es von den Shirts ja auch Plain-Versionen. Tolles Produkt!
