So Pleased with this Purchase!
I waited long after purchasing so I could use them before reviewing. The first thing I noticed upon using was how much more comfortable they are than disposables! Throughout the day, I was impressed that they stayed in place. The clasps work so much better than the adhesive on disposables. And the pads themselves are pillowy, so they fit snug and don't shift around like other pads. For reference to others, I am a larger woman, which means pads can often be too short, too small or get bunched up; all of this led to leaking. If these issues are familiar to you, know that these pads don't not have that problem. They are long enough and wide enough for plus size women and they don't get bunched up like disposables because they are made of a soft fabric, so they move with you.I haven't done a wash yet but, I was hesitant to get reusable pads because of staining. These have black pads so I do not think that will be a problem. The seller sends information with the actual pads and then follows up with helpful how-to-use and how-to-wash tips that I greatly appreciated. And(not the most important thing but worth mentioning) they are pretty:)I will be recommending these to others and gifting them to my teenage sisters.

These are the pads you've been looking for!
These are amazing. I considered many different brands and styles before ultimately choosing PeriodMates, and I have been so happy with my choice. I have told everyone who will listen about them, and they have purchased the same ones. Not to mention, this is a very fair price for such high quality pads, 5 plus a waterproof bag?!It has pretty much taken all the ickiness out of my period. I have had no leaks at all, I don't get heat rash type thing I used to from pads, and it really just feels like I'm wearing underwear. They hold much more than I expected, but I love that you don't actually see it - it's absorbed as soon as it comes out, and with the center being dark, you mistakenly think that you've had a light day until you go to rinse them. They fold over on top of themselves into little squares so they are easy to carry and store. Some people mention that they can "move" around if your undies are too loose. I have specific cheap Hanes in a size smaller than usual that I've always kept to keep any pad close to me (and my nice panties clean!). I actually like that I CAN move them after placement because sometimes with sticky pads I don't get them in quite the right place. I also love that you never feel the "trickle" of blood as it tries to find a place to be absorbed...or runs off the end of the pad. I usually buy the super long type trying to make sure that doesn't happen, but it still does. I do just fine with the regular sizes of PeriodMates.I plan to buy at least one more set because while I found these easy to rinse and throw in washer, I sometimes have several days of spotting afterward. Plus I have a spinal cord injury and some light leakage as a result (like need a liner on occasion, not a diaper) so having a few extras around would be handy.I'm sure I'm forgetting things, but I cannot say enough good things about PeriodMates. I also like supporting small businesses, and I love that the owner welcomes questions and feedback.

less waste, and better for my body
I'm still new using these but I thought I would go ahead and at least give a review. I thought I would give these a try for some obvious reasons, saving money, less waste, and better for my body. I do research the companies sometimes that I buy from. I love the fact that this company supports women who are in need of products and support who do not have that. That was a big for me. I can't imagine not having access to products that is needed for personal hygiene. Kudos Period Mate! Us chicks gotta stick together no matter where we are. Periods are not a party :( I love that they come with a dry bag, very handy. They are also really cute. Not that we are taking these around and waving at everyone but the thought is nice :) While for the most part, they are very comfortable, I am very active and walk a lot- up to six miles a day. Even though I have done the smaller underwear as a recommendation, they still move on me a bit and I get a little uncomfortable until I can fix it. Like I said, I'm still new to this so maybe the more I use them, once I figure out a way to get them to stay better, it won't be as much of an issue. Other than that I am happy with them. I know many say, in summer they tend to get very hot. That is actually another reason why I got them honestly. I'm always cold so if you are a cold girl like me...that's a real bonus! Since winter is here it's been helpful. I don't see this being an issue for me when the seasons change. Overall I do recommend these. Despite having to fix them once in a while, it's still way better than buying regular liners and so much more comfortable. Clean up isn't bad either. I do hand wash mine and I dry them on delicate cycle. So far no issues. They are worth the money :)

I really wanted to love these. I am all for the concept but ...
I really wanted to love these. I am all for the concept but these will not be a good solution for me. The positives: they are absorbent, comfortable, you don't feel wet or sticky, they don't smell, they are easy to put on, and easier to clean than I had imagined. I did not have problems with them moving around like others have mentioned. Cons: these are too short and so they are leaking either from the back or the front based on how you position them because women move around and we don't sit just one way for the whole day. They are disastrous for sleeping and heavy flow. I did go out and buy tight fitting underwear just for these pads and they still leak. Thus far they have leaked through 3 pairs of panties, a pair of shorts and my sheets both nights. They would be good for someone who has light periods or at the end when you have light flow days.
