My lips tend to get red and chapped in the winter if I don't use lip balm, but are usually okay for the rest of the year. I put this on once or twice a day, and my lips were fine throughout early spring and summer, although I haven't yet put it through the deep winter test yet. I didn't experience any stinging or irritation. I do think the balm I was previously using with beeswax was more protective and sturdy (had that waxy shield you know); this is a little thinner and more of a moisturizer than a preventative action (sort of feels like coconut oil on your lips, but less melty). I gave four stars because I really wish it was in a cardboard tube!! I'll keep looking for an alternative because I want to be plastic-free, but if you need an easy vegan lip balm this will do fine.

Smooth, mild mint, vegan
I love that these are vegan! And while you can smell the mint scent, it isn't overwhelming like so many other mint chapsticks, which is very nice. It also goes on smoothly and feels great on my lips, it just unfortunately doesn't heal them like I hoped it would (esp when they're really chapped). Also, one of the of the lip balm tubes came ruined - all broken and unusable, which is a shame given how expensive they are. (The only reason I didn't return them was because I didn't want to waste the other 2 tubes that were perfectly fine.) But even though they don't work as well as I hoped, I will continue to use them for now because they're vegan :)
