I don't normally write reviews but I felt this product deserves one. I was skeptical upon purchasing and of course I can't speak for the longevity of the product as I've only had it a few days, but so far it has greatly improved my life. I've lived with noisy, nasty, and violent next door neighbors for years now and every day at work I dread coming home as I know I'll get no peace. It was affecting my sleep, my happiness and I was on the brink of moving somewhere else (I probably still will but now it's less urgent). This device is simple. It plays a constant noise (many to choose from) that can be used to drown out unwanted sound. It had a nice lamp and a timer function. I didn't think it would have much effect as next door can reach incredible volumes, but now as soon as I get in from work I pop this device on and adjust the volume to the point where I cannot hear them anymore. The 3 days that I've used it I have been happier, more calm, at peace and generally have had much nicer evenings. It won't be for everyone. The noise that it produces can be changed to fit your needs (I use the default 'brown noise' sound) however many people won't want to have noise playing constantly. But for me and hopefully others, it offers a soothing effect and I even have it on during the rare moments of quiet because I find it helps me relax but also focus when necessary. If you have to put up with noise nuisances I really feel for you and recommend you at least try this device as you can always return it if it doesnt help, or if not then some brown noise over a speaker would probably work too. It might not work as well for anyone with upstairs neighbors as that noise can be more bassy but for people talking loudly/shouting outside and music I find it works great. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

I’ve been using this white noise machine for well over a year now and it still works perfectly. It’s been great for improving my sleep and blocking out background noise. The sound is consistent and soothing, and it’s easy to use with straightforward controls. It’s also reliable and well made, as it’s held up really well with daily use. Overall, a great quality white noise machine that does exactly what it’s meant to do. I’d definitely recommend it.

I've owned the black version without a light for just over 3 years. Last week it started making some odd noises. Considering I have had this playing all night(8-9 hours) every night since it arrived back in November 2022, I'd say it was a good investment. I prefer the white noise function- there are three diiferent pitched ones (probably identified as white, punk and brown noise) as it helps to drown out the chatter in my brain when I try to fall asleep. It also effectively blocks intermittent noise from the surroundings: have used it several times when staying at hotels. Would recommend you use the kind of USB charging plug that you use with your mobile phone rather than the ones that fit flush into the mains socket to prevent surges(and burns) that some users have reported.

Great simple sound machine. I like that this one can be on infinitely, but also has timer functions. It’s small so easily portable, but does require plug to work so isn’t a battery operated on the go kind of sound machine. I’ve had this one for a while now and it’s still going strong. The nightlight is very very dim, which is great for me. I would recommend. I had a DreamEgg one but sent it back as it was quite convoluted to use and didn’t seem to be able to remain on all night. This functionality is really straightforward and easy.

I have severe sound phobia/intolerance due to ptsd. This machine is the loudest I’ve ever had, by a long way. The white noise option is the loudest sound on the machine. It can be turned up to 110 decibels (the volume of a jackhammer), decibels when the decibel recorder is held 1cm from the machine. So if it’s next to your bed (about a meter away from your head) you hear it as 73 decibels. My next door neighbours (detached homes) had a pneumatic drill breaking up concrete, and this machine blocked it out entirely for me. It didn’t even need to be put on the highest volume. It’s also blocked out loud fireworks, dog barks, the loudest snorer sleeping next to you, so it’s great for those with sound sensitivities and for pets. A real life saver! Bear in mind it can’t block out vibrations though. Nothing can. It has dozens of volumes you can choose from, as well as 25 different sound options (the music one is particularly nice and gentle). It was amazing value. It’s great quality. It is small therefore convenient to fit anywhere you want it, and is not unsightly. I wouldn’t even bother looking for another sound machine. I’ve had five different ones so far, and none were as loud.

Great item but no Shhh sound for babies. This works well and I like the nightlight feature as well as the range of sounds. However it doesn’t have a shhh sound for babies as I was advised by amazons assistant. Also found the buttons to be very loud when pressed which can disturb baby in the night when using. Overall a good item.

Bought as a gift to try and help a family member with sleep issues. Good quality, value for money. It’s taken them a time to work through the choices of sounds to find their preference, but so far so good.

I live in a flat on a busy main road where there’s always plenty of noise going on (inside and outside). From constant heavy traffic, to noisy neighbours, drunks walking past, etc. I’ve used foam ear plugs for the past 30 years for sleeping. They’re pretty good, albeit they do not eliminate noise completely. I’m a very light sleeper and very sensitive to any kind of noise. I’ve only recently become aware of white noise machines. I never knew such gadgets existed until I saw one on a tv program. I was quite sceptical at first that this would be any good to me. Did a bit of research, and it was only £20 so I thought I’d give it a go. I’m glad I did! I use it at night in conjunction with my ear plugs. At the moment at night I’ve been setting it to stop after 2 hours. I’m finding this very good. I quickly drop off to sleep, and wake up in the morning fully refreshed. I did a little test the other day. I turned on the white noise machine to the brown noise mode and lay down on my bed without ear plugs in, just to see if I could hear the traffic from outside my bedroom window, (normally I would hear traffic going past, even with ear plugs in). But I couldn’t hear anything apart from the brown noise. The machine was completely drowning out the noise of the traffic. So when I use it to sleep accompanied with my ear plugs, it is VERY effective indeed! I didn’t need to read the manual. It’s very very easy to operate and is all self explanatory. The volume on the 25 different noise modes can be adjusted to suit. The light function has a few different brightness levels. Even so, my only criticism would be you can’t read a book due to the light function not being bright enough. I didn’t buy it for that purpose, and I have a lamp. So I’m very happy thus far!
