S'well S'nack Stainless Steel Food Container, 10 Oz, Peppermint Tree, Double-Layered Insulated Bowls, BPA-Free

I like the large capacity of this jar. I use this for my high school kid to bring lunch. The food is still warm enough around 2pm. No leakage. Wide opening makes eating easy. Not too hard to open the jar for a big boy. But I can see small kids may have trouble.

I drive luxury buses, SUVs and cars as a chauffeur and there isn't usually a lot of time to stop for lunch or dinner. Using this bowl for meals I make at home means I can avoid paying a lot more for takeout from restaurants, which is exactly the reason I bought one. I considered other approaches, like a portable heating pot that would need to be plugged-in, but that wouldn't have been reliable depending on what I'm driving. So does this bowl do what it says? Yes! Last night I had chicken noodle soup that had to cool off a little before I could eat. The soup went into the bowl at boiling temperature and it was still very hot 5 hours later. Another time, I had rice with chicken and veggies... again, it went in hot and was still hot many hours later. Some reviews mention a problem with leaking and the lid being difficult to secure, but it's easy to deal with. I just make sure the lid is level all the way around the bowl and then tighten down. Maybe if you're in a rush or just not being very careful, it could be a problem, and heat and liquid would escape from the bowl. But it's really not that difficult to secure the lid. So yes, I would recommend the bowl to a friend. I'm considering a second one so I can bring hot and cold food (ice cream, or yogurt and granola, salad, etc) together.

My kids.. HATE school lunch so they make us make them home made lunches to bring to school. As they are getting older and eating more we made this purchase in preparation for the upcoming start. Recently we did get to use the two we got as we had a beach day and made some stir fry and fried rice to bring with us. The food was still piping hot 4 hours after prep - mind you we got lucky it was perfect beach weather so wasnt a hot day - but we got to have a awesome hot lunch! Will update on how these fair with daily usage but first impressions feels quality , looks great, straight forward uncomplicated cleaning, simple to use (I mean cmon.. screw on lid, screw off lid). Very happy with the purchase!

It's the perfect size and exactly what I needed! The only drawback is how tough it is to open. To counter the strong vacuum-sealed steel locking mechanism, run hot water over the lid for 30 seconds or so.

I love it! Strong material. It keeps the food fresh enough for my son at school! The color is bright and nice. It’s easy to use and clean.

Surprisingly disappointed. I love the water bottles. The triple insulation really works well to keep liquids hot or cold and I have no hesitation recommending them. However, the food storage containers do not do as advertised in terms of keeping food warm (let alone hot) for as along as they say the product will. I have the 24oz, which is supposed to keep food warm, if not hot, for 7 hours. I pack my food hot at 6:30am and have lunch starting at noon. That's only 5-½ hours but it isn't even lukewarm when I go to eat. On top of that, it is very difficult to unscrew. I have found the only way I can get it open with any modicum of "ease" is to have one of those jar opener gripper pads handy. (Don't try using the cute little recessed handle either; the attached areas are not strong enough to withstand the force needed to unscrew.) Considering the price of this item and comparative quality of their water bottles, I am very disappointed and wish I'd tried using it before the time to return had passed.

I should have known better based on other reviews but I bought it anyway because it’s so hard to find a bowl-like insulated stainless steel container for my lunches. The size and shape are exactly what I’m looking for. However, it takes extra effort to ensure the lid is properly engaged and tightened. When I open it up, I fear I’ll break the handle if I try to use it as leverage but without it, it’s very difficult to open esp if you don’t want to spill the contents. I fill this up around 6:45 am and have lunch five hours later, around 11:45 am. Soup goes in piping hot in the morning but it’s almost lukewarm, by lunchtime. Disappointing. I have another container that’s same capacity, but more like a thermos shape & my food stays piping hot til lunch - the downside is that it’s not bowl-shaped. So. My search for the perfect soup container continues.

Good. Just need to buy improve the opening of lid

After purchasing many sub par thermos’s through out the years I was excited to see this thermos. There were not many reviews on this product and I took a chance - I was not dissapointed. I initially purchased one for myself. This thermos does what it is supposed to do: keep food hot or cold for hours and stay closed to prevent leaks and spills. I use it daily for my work lunches - it fits perfectly in a lunch bag. I have used it with soup and solid food. This can hold a good amount of food. It is stylish, easy to open, easy to clean. I like this so much that I have purchased two more for my kids. The only negative was there was only one color to choose from. I would recommend this product.

Quality product

Item holds temperature very well. Cap is designed very well except keep hygienic from inside. Cap could be much better if designed for teens or kids with softer hands. I suggest cap could have an option made of metal too with click-to-lock.
