Epic 100% Xylitol Spearmint Chewing Gum - Sugar Free, Aspartame Free Dental Gum - Supports Oral Health & Fresh Breath - 12 Pieces (Pack of 12)

I bought this as an alternative to Zellie’s and PUR gum to compare the taste and overall quality. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks, mainly after meals or drinks and whenever my mouth feels dry. The flavor is really good and lasts longer than I expected. My breath smells fresh, I’ve even received compliments, which says a lot. I also like the container; it’s compact and fits easily in my bag without taking up much space. It’s convenient for on-the-go use. The only downside for me is the size of the pieces. They feel a bit small, and I’ve accidentally bitten my lip a few times because of that. It's the same stickiness as other xylitol gums. Overall, it does exactly what I need it to do and feels comparable to PUR and Zellie’s. If you’re looking for a sugar-free, aspartame-free xylitol gum with good flavor and portability, this is a solid choice.

Taste is good, rather it’s helping with dental issues time will tell.

Viewing Dr. Ellie's video about how to break down plaque formation gave me a better understanding of what components of gum and mints are not beneficial. This brand doesn't use glycerin, which is very unusual in the xylitol gum market. This is my primary reason to use this specific brand besides zellies, which doesn't always have the spearmint flavor in stock. It's true that the flavor doesn't last long, but I'm really just desiring to get xylitol all over my teeth after a meal to neutralize acid to protect my enamel so it is a perfect application process. Using this method has gotten rid of plaque unlike anything I've ever seen. Xylitol is the only sweetener and has a good flavor as well which means that you don't have any reason to choose a sugary or synthetic sweetener gum for that enjoyment. This three pack was also a good value.

Like most people who are reading this review, I was looking for a gum with Xylitol for better dental health and avoiding artificial sugars. I've tried many in the past and I'm fine with the fact that the flavor for these types of gym only lasts a few minutes. With that being said, this one lasts much longer than any others I've tried. Even after a half an hour, it still has noticeable flavor. The only negative, which all other Xylitol gums seem to also have, is that it's also made in China. It seems we can't produce Xylitol gum locally for some reason. If anyone knows one being produced outside of China, I'd love to hear about it. Update (1/11/2014): Just in case it helps other people, I've now switched to Pur Gum (also found on Amazon) as it has also has great ingredients but the ingredients are from Switzerland rather than China. I'd say the flavor doesn't quite last as long as this gum, but that doesn't bother me. And for those who are worried about Titanium Dioxide, Pur doesn't contain any. Update (2/19/2014): I take my last comment back about Pur not lasting as long as this gum. It turns out it depends on what flavor you have. The flavors from the mint family last quite long. I still use Pur and buy it by the bag. So cheap, so good. I should probably write a review on Pur rather than here. :)

I love the Epic brand of 100% Xylitol Spearmint Chewing Gum - Sugar Free! It has a great flavor with no unpleasant aftertaste.

Good value, worth purchasing again. Flavor lasts about as long as needed,

It tastes delicous byt the good flavor does'nt last long. I am not sure who tried "zebra gum" way back but this is basically that. Yummy but gone quick.

How great to have in the car or bag to give your mouth a total clean anywhere!
