My cat Buddy was diagnosed with hip dyspepsia about 6 years ago. He had never jumped up on any furniture, and we always joked that he never did because he did not know he was a cat. The vet diagnosed him on a routine visit when she noticed that his backside was smaller than his front side. We just thought he was misshaped because he was a runt. It turns out that the reason he did not use his back legs was due to hip pain, and his muscles were wasting away because of it. We started sprinkling this on his food daily and it was about 6 months when one day he jumped up on the coffee table much to our amazement. Now he jumps on the kitchen table and cabinets and runs through the house like he is a kitten. This stuff works!

When the package arrived our dog sniffed it and wagged his tail expectantly. Therefore no problem having him eat the powder with his food. The dog seems to be moving better and looks more alert. We hope this also means that any pain he might feel is lessened.. This product is therefore well worth its cost and we are very pleased with it.

I've never thought my cat was very fussy. I feed her dry food, and although it says you can sprinkle this on dry food it doesn't work. First time I gave it, my cat fished out her kibble onto the floor and the powder stayed there in the dish and on the floor. She might have gotten a micro amt. Second day I tried mixing with a little water and mixing it with tuna since it's fish-based, and she wouldn't go near it (even though she loves tuna) and looked at me with sad eyes wondering what I was trying to do to her. If you feed wet food and try mixing it in, your cat might or might not eat it. Now I have this whole bag I'll have to toss in the trash. Luckily it's not that expensive. Last month I tried liquid drops (Nodens) and I mix that with a little ground beef (because it's supposed to be beef flavor) and she eats it up. It has definitely made a difference and she's walking without a limp and jumping up on couch and bed again. So guess I'll keep using Nodens since I can't get her to eat this powder.

This is easier to give my older dog who sometimes does not like the chews. He is about to have surgery to remove some of his teeth, so this has worked for that. I am not sure if i see a difference when it comes to joints but he's 14 and slowing down.
