Bought this for my brother who loves history. He said he remembers our grandfather telling some of the stories he read in this book plus a few extra ones about this time that are not in the book.

This book tells how the efforts of a Texas governor and some no nonsense Texas Rangers brought down a crime gang that had bedeviled East Texas citizens for many years. Quite good!

Failed to hold interest

The book hits a little close to home, knowing there is a possibility that I may have kinfolk mentioned in the book. Jody did a lot of research and should be commended.
