Good Laser Safety Glasses
I've been experimenting with a 1.5W class 4 InGaN 450nm blue laser, the safety glasses supplied with it were next to useless so I bought these as a replacement. The quality is good, the frames are quite sturdy and the lenses well made. They block out pretty much all blue light and UV (I have tested this with both 254nm and 365nm sources) but allow green, yellow and red wavelengths to pass. It is possible to see the laser dot (which shows up as yellow on many surfaces, possibly due to fluorescence), but the beam is not easy to see so caution is required. I have no way of testing if the OD really is 6+, however I have been using them with the laser for a couple of days and have no eye problems - with the glasses that came with the laser even looking at the laser dot briefly would leave an imprint on your eye that lasted for several seconds. The laser I am using requires a minimum of OD 3.4, however stronger blue lasers used in engraving and cutting products will require up to OD 6. They come in a good quality case with a neck strap and polishing cloth. Very happy with my purchase.

good safety glasses
Comfortable to were, clear vision and no gaps at the sides. These are rated as OD6, which is printed on the lens but no certificate is provided. There is much debate on the forums about whether the lower cost glasses (e.g. <£100) can provide sufficient protection. All I can say is that these look professionally built and I would trust the rating. As a check, I set up a test with a blue led and light meter which does not have the sensitivity to measure down to OD6 (1 millionth transmitted light) but it gave a zero reading on the meter which represented better than 1/50000. This certainly gave me confidence that their rating is correct.

Nice and comfortable
Comfortable ans better than the cheap things you get packed with most lasers. Suitable for Diode lasers. Not suitable for IR lasers.

Large size is not that large
Excellent choice for anyone working with UV light, violet, or blue lasers. The glasses should provide protection against these types of radiation, it says they have with an optical density of 6 or greater. They are comfortable to wear, with a lightweight design that doesn't cause any discomfort even during long periods of use. They also provide excellent visibility. The glasses seem well-made and durable, with a scratch-resistant coating that helps to maintain their optical clarity over time. They also came with a nice case which makes them easy to mind without accidentally scratching them . However the large size is not that big so bare that in mind if you have a big head.

A trusted brand
Wanted some eye protection for working around an xtool S1. They fit well around the eyes on all sides offering all round eye protection. Could easily be cheaper.

A must have.
I wasn't sure what, if any benefit these glasses would offer above the dark green glasses provided with most diode lasers. The difference is night and day, I found the original green glasses so dark, I was having to remove them at fairly regular intervals, just to be able to see anything. These glasses are so bright you wonder whether they are actually offering any protection at all, it is only when you see how much blue flash they are blocking you realise how good they are. Also comfortably fit over my prescription glasses, highly recommended.

I purchased these before I even bought my laser. I actually bought a second pair right away too because someone always wants to see what you are doing. I never used the glasses that came with my laser because I did not trust them. These feel like they have a good area of protection and coverage. I wear these over a set of reading glasses and they work just fine. I can't speak to the actual laser protection, but the wavelength filter was correct for the 10w laser that I have. At some point you have to trust that the safety equipment that you buy is up to spec. These had the most reviews and the best rating without spending a fortune. They come in a nice hard case too to keep them from getting damaged. Quality product at a good price.

Bought these safety glasses to use with my blue diode laser etching machine. So here's what you may need to know: 1. They fit fairly well over my prescription glasses. This was VERY important to me. 2. They are marked on the lens as being OD6+. Without having them tested by a lab, all I can do is hope that they are marked honestly. But I did compare them to the orange material used to block blue light around the bottom of the laser module, itself... and these glasses seem to be just a whisker or two darker. So I'm thinking the OD number is pretty honest. 3. The glasses do a pretty good job of sight coverage above, below, and side to side. Could coverage be better? Yes, but that would require them to be the big googles type. For this type of glasses, they are pretty good and more than acceptable. 4. The glasses come with croakies (eyeglass retainers) which is GREAT. That will help to be sure that the glasses stay on at all times. The last thing in the world I'd ever want is for them to fall off my face, while working around the laser. The croakies are an excellent addition to the product. 5. The included hard zipper case looked pretty decent and will be helpful in protecting the glasses when not in use. 6. By the way, they are very orange. So why orange? Well, I'm using a blue diode laser. If you look at the standard color wheel, you will notice that the color blue is opposite of the color orange; so that makes orange the correct color for blue-diode-laser-safety-glasses. Red will also work pretty well, depending on the OD value. but orange is supposedly the best color choice for blue diode laser machines. 7. Bottom line: would I purchase again? Yes, I would DEFINITELY purchase them again. I wish that the price was lower, but then again, the price was better than fair. So I should be ashamed of myself for wanting to pay less! LOL... but yes, I would buy them again, if I had to. And they are WAY better than what came with the laser machine. I certainly hope this information was good enough to help you make the right decision on whether to purchase or not. And thank you for reading my review!

Exactly as described, fantastic quality!

Great glasses, work perfectly, gave it 4 stars, would have given it 5 but they don't fit over my prescription glasses. I don't have any special big frame glasses. My glasses frame is 1.5" by 2¹/⁸". Overall great glasses would recommend them.
