SOLENOID VALVE 1/4"

I had one just like it in line with a dual auto-failover regulator fed by dual LPG tanks on houseboat. I started out with a very low water column pressure measured at the stove (weak flame and unreliable oven), and neither the furnace nor backup LPG mode for refrigerator would work at all. I replaced the 12 year old regulator and got a couple inches (7 to 9) increase in water column LPG pressure but still problems with pressure being too low, even though a could fire up a couple of burners and the water heater. When I replaced the 12 year old SC-1, I got full pressure and everything works fine now. My observation is that sooner or later the diaphram in both a LPG regulator and the separate solenoid (safety shut-off) will get mushy and oily internally from constant LPG flow and pressure and on/off exercise on latter. Shop around for these parts because the prices very dramatically from vendor to vendor. This SV-1 replaced another one just like it and interfaces as it should to the FireBoy S-2A propane monitor / controller by merely connecting two wires.
