Don’t take on an empty stomach
I’m a 30 y/o nurse that runs. I’m losing weight and training for a half marathon. Being overweight and running is hard on your knees as we know running by itself is. I have terrible genetics and most of my dad’s side of the family had bilateral knee replacements. I’m trying to get these babies to last as long as they can. There are excellent studies supporting glucosamine sulfate for joint health and pain relief. I have OA in my R shoulder at the SI joint and it has certainly helped the pain in that area. Only note - don’t take in an empty stomach. I’ve almost thrown up a few times from this. But overall, good product!

Effective (for me), and convenient
I realize glucosamine doesn't work for everyone, but for the arthritis pain in my hip, this has been tremendously helpful. Several years ago I was limping, and started taking glucosamine sulfate. It was effective quickly, and has stayed that way even as I have gotten (16 years) older. Now I not only don't limp, I dance every day and rarely feel even a twinge. When the pandemic started, I could no longer find glucosamine sulfate locally, but I found it here on Amazon for a reasonable price. Even better, I have a subscription so it is mailed to me on a regular basis so I never run out. I couldn't be happier.

Works wonders for dogs!
Our 7-year-old McNab had severe arthritis. We tried special diets. The BARF diet helped a little but didn't provide enough relief from her arthritis. So we started giving her this Glucosamine Sulfate (one 750 mg capsule per day) along with Horbaach Green Lipped Mussel (one 750 mg capsule per day). What a difference! Within a week we saw drastic improvements! We give the same dosage to our Border Collie, as well. Even though he doesn't have arthritis, we give it to him as prevention. We don't even open the capsules, we just place one Green Lipped Mussel capsule and one Glucosamine Sulfate capsule in their food dishes and they swallow them whole. Keeping the capsules in tact works better for our dogs because the Green Lipped Mussel has a strong odor which discouraged them from eating the food when we broke the capsules open and sprinkled the contents on their food.

Another fine product by NOW
OK, after much research, it was determined that this is the product that you want if you are considering Glucosamine. I read that this is the most bioavailable form of it, don't take the HCL variant of it. Also, if you are planning on taking it, I hear that chondroitin interferes with it some how (I will leave that for you to read up on). What you will not notice with this product, and something you might want to consider is that this is a long term commitment. You are not going to see your joint problem heal overnight or in a week. Additionally, this is not something that is going to fix your tendinitis, however, it may help it in the long run, not gonna fix acute fare ups. This supplement is still somewhat trivial, but much evidence supports its use for osteoarthritis (moderate to severe). Why I take it, because I am now in my 40's and notice that my soft tissues are going down hill, and before my articulating cartilage is destroyed by way of the aging process, I am hoping that this product will somehow retard the progression of osteoarthritis with respect to aging. I will update my review in a couple of decades to inform consumers how its working. Why I choose NOW supplements over others, is because I have use several of their products by NOW in the pass, and they are no BS. They don't have a flamboyant package, and they don't gouge their prices, they provide straight up quality products at an affordable price. You can go ahead and buy Walmart or Costco brand stuff, but you might be buying crap or stuff that is loaded with contaminants. I prefer to use reputable companies that I have had history with. Other good supplement companies that are legit are: Optimum Nutrition, and Source Naturals. Be very careful of many other companies as most of them, or many of them are just scamming the average Joe and Jane. These companies and their products are unregulated and not monitored by anyone, so you could very well be buying rice flour labeled as whatever supplement you think that your buying. Good luck! If you have insight to other legit companies, please don't keep it a secret, I would love to know about them.

Really does reduce joint pain.
I admit I was a complete skeptic of this supplement, considering it to be quackery. My job as a delivery driver is hard on my knees and joints, and I finally decided to try this, why not for just over 20 bucks. I kid you not but there was immediate and dramatic improvement in my joint pain. This improvement has been sustained over the last two weeks, but I found you do need to take it every day or the joint pain does return.

Acceptable product, customer service lacking; possible quality control problem.
The product seems to work as well as another brand I'd been using but that was not available on Amazon when I required a refill, but there seem to be possible issues with quality control and customer service. I've found, so far, 2 tablets in the bottle, when these are supposed to be capsules. I don't even know if these are glucosamine sulfate or possibly something else. I contacted the company via email on the web and received a response within about 2 hours from someone stating that they were forwarding my email to customer service for handling. It's been 5 days and I've not heard another word from them. I doubt if I'll order this brand again, regardless of the promptness of their eventual reply or the final outcome.
