I really love these bulbs. They are much brighter than regular bulbs and the light looks clean and even in the room. They are easy to use because you screw them in like a normal bulb and they charge while you have them on. The battery lasts a long time and during a blackout they turn on immediately which has helped me so many times. They also look great in lamps and give off a nice warm glow that feels comfortable on the eyes. In my experience they work best in lamps. When I tried them in my ceiling fixtures and in my ceiling fan the switch would not turn them off, so I moved them back to my lamps and they work perfectly. The switch works normally and the bulbs charge without any problem. They fit standard sockets and the brightness stays strong every time you turn them on. For the price the value is amazing. They are bright, long lasting, easy to use, and they make the room look better. I keep them around the house because they give me peace of mind when the power drops.

I bought these as a Christmas present for my elderly mother who lives alone. These bulbs are great. I put them in different areas of the house so when the power goes out she still has light in areas she needs to go to. We use it as a regular bulb when the power is on. I switched the power off to the entire house and the bulbs continued to work. When using while the power is on it is charging the bulb. I ordered myself a set after seeing how great they work. Highly recommend

Used these in case our electricity went out and they work really good and light up a whole room even with just one light bulb. These are 3 that I have in and it works really good. I would buy again.

I purchased these lamps to replace another set that stopped working. They are bright but they will not hurt your eyes. They are great for dark areas anywhere. Portable and dependable. Bought a second set as a gift. They have come in handy when repairs are made in a dark ares of the house. No electricity, no problem.

These are great bulbs and are not quite as bright as a 60 watt but do the job, I can read and use my kitchen to do dishes and see very well where I am walking would suggest these to everyone looking for a good light source

Amazing to have light without power

If you are looking for a bulb that automatically turns on when there is a power outage this is not it. None of these types of bulbs are. Basically this is a rechargeable flashlight in the shape of a bulb. In a lamp or ceiling fixture it works like a regular LED bulb. When the power is turned off, say at a switch, the bulb goes off. In order for it to work during a power outage you either need to screw the bulb into the hanging base that is provided or, in the case of a lamp, you need to unplug it from the wall and put a metal clip across the prongs of the plug. Either way, it is a flashlight. I wouldn't recommend using it In a ceiling fixture because you would have to remove the bulb to use it. I gave it 3 stars because it was 1/3 the price of the GE bulb.

I had a power outage this week, during a snowstorm. My power actually goes out quite frequently, so I bought a set of these bulbs so the whole house wouldn't be in darkness. When I plugged them in 3 of the 4 worked ( I will try to return the one that didn't work and let you know if they returned them without a problem). What a difference to have light in the house!! They really saved me and no expensive generator needed. They're super convenient to have around and I'll probably get another set for myself and for my kids as well. The color was good and I would definitely take these camping with my boyfriend. 5 stars for sure... really came in handy and they're not expensive.
